Opinions on the New Jungle?

Just curious what people thought about the new jungle.

Personally I'm enjoying plants a lot, they seem to create lots of satsfactory moments for junglers. Like;

  • Counterjungling the enemy's scrying bloom
  • Stealing dragon or avoiding wards with the blast cone
  • Topping up on HP/Mana before a gank or before dragon/baron with honey-fruit

Also the monster changes are... Diverse? I have some mixed opinions on them.

  • I like the new Krugs, they're neat and the time investment makes them worthwhile, especially if you're playing a champ that can clear them faster!
  • Buffs having negative resistances (Red = negative armour & Blue = negative mr) is interesting. Honestly just makes my clears feel a little weird.
  • Raptors seem a little strong and really hurt early game. Though it might just be the champs I'm playing.
  • On the flip side, Gromp feels a little weaker and less impactful this patch. He seems easier to kill and does a lot less damage.

Would love to foster some discussion and hear everyones thoughts!

Garbage. Golems do way to much damage. Birds too.

It's 1 dimensional. People can only do mobs from blue side and lizard. Can't really do birds/golems till like lvl 8 + without the majority of yoru health.

My opinions are: the vision plant is broken af, the jump plant outside of objectives is pretty neat. I like that it gives immobile junglers a chance to steal without wasting flash to get in. And raptors are tedious on first clear, unless you're Zac. All-in-all I like it and hope everyone can adapt to it.

The new jungle is... well, excuse my language, but shafting the squishy junglers early game. I myself am a tank jungler, and have found the same problems, which should never present themselves as I have 150% more health than the carry junglers. The camps are different, sure, the plants were an addition by riot that in my opinion, were way too overthought, not a good change, and didn't have the best effects. The raptors, heh, riot lost their marbles when they made the change, and that's saying quite a bit, seeing as they are usually pretty good about that. Krugs are the same way, except instead of a lot of them at once, they're the demon called Legion. The buff changes are understandable, but make counter-jungling operating at 50%. Gromp is no longer like it's predecessor ("Wraith"), but like a toned down super-minion that does magic dmg. Taking away the smite buffs and adding just health is... just salt upon wounds. Overall, the new jungle is just way too overthought in my point of view.

Krugs and raptors are a bitch early level. Otherwise I like the changes. The plants add some fun gimmicks and potential to make great plays if you use them correctly. I personally appreciate the removal of the minions for the red and blue buffs.
