Summarizing the Reworks and Champions this year.

Alright, let's be real here, 2018 was probably the worst through league's experience since ever. However we still got some decent champions (key word SOME) this year also. So I am just going to go over a brief explanation of them so far. Now some of these claims are my opinion just to point it out.

  1. Swain (rework) Probably the best thing out of this year, Swain already have been a decent champion since all they way back in league's early days. The big bird boi was still a decent pick, mainly because of.... his whole kit, being so simple, easy, and unique. Then I heard his rework was coming, at first I was like: "Oh no here comes the screw up to my main." Then I actually played it and it was better than Swain has ever been. He is a solid mage with decent sustain and one of the best ults in the game. Not only that, he has one of the best recovery factors of all mages in the game. Swain was probably the best thing out of this year.

  2. Kai'sa Kassadin's daughter finally being released was a big deal at the time, considering it was a huge lore nuke. Kai'sa is quite a looked down on champion by some people, due to her being another on hit adc. But let's face it, Kai'sa, being an on hit champion, has a fairly decent gameplay style with chasing down and hunting your opponent in ways league didn't do it before, such as being able to jump in from a long distance in a team fight, and easily sneaking into the backline with an upgraded e or ult. She also has the most flexible build in the game, you just need to build attack speed and anything else damage-wise that you think may help you in the fight.

  3. Irelia (rework) I sort of like the Irelia rework, her kit is unique and fun, and is amazing in team fights, she has a fairly decent build, and can stand alone quite well. However, she is in the state that riot doesn't know how to buff or nerf her correctly, when they nerfed her she had a very low win rate, and when they buffed her, she was extremely much of a pain to deal with. Besides that, she is a fairly decent champion in the game now, besides being a top laner's worst nightmare ability-wise, she is now another top laner that focuses on breaking shields and dealing damage while having high max health.

  4. Pyke Pyke the good ol' davy jones of this game. Pyke is one of the most interesting champions in the game by far. He is a literal drowned man who is coming back to destroy people. Originally, he was intended to be a support assassin, but that idea was actually working until the buffs and nerfs to him came along, now just being a standard assassin. Even so, he is still a fairly decent support/jungler with high cc and mobility. The only thing I would talk about though is his ultimate, as he can destroy you for being half health, they could make it so he can preform the ult execution at 15% of your maximum health, that would make things easier for the team pyke is against to make it a bit more balanced. Other than that he is a fairly nice champion and a good addition to bilgewater champs.

  5. Aatrox (rework) Aatrox was a whole mess before his rework, but now he is a fairly strong, high cc bruiser with crazy mobility and a free ga. He is a very strong champion but people keep saying he is bad but they are forgetting one key thing, he is much better in jg for one, two, the sweetspots to his q mean A LOT. Aatrox actually takes quite a bit of skill to play as you got to time your q's and e's just right. He is a powerful fighter who is quite considered a glass cannon in that sence as long as you land the sweetspots. He is quite viable now in the sence of being very well in team fights and in jungle due to his q and e passive.

  6. Akali (rework) OOOOOOOH boy... do I hate this champion. At first, I enjoyed this champion, being based off mortal kombat and all that, and she was very fun. but once she got her rework... oh man do I hate her now. She has ridiculous damage, repositioning, and movement speed. Oh and let's not forget about the godforsaken shroud now, having TRUE invisibility. Out of all the people riot could have chose to rework akali, they chose certaintyt, who made yasuo, zoe.... zoe... and they decided to make him rework akali. for god sake at least ton down this champion's damage AND the shroud's cloaking function.

  7. Nunu (rework) This rework really hits the spot. Nunu is now a completely viable, high sustain jungler with decent cc and one of the most fun kits in the game. Besides, he still has his old ult hurray for going over 9000. He has decent movement speed especially with the snowball, great lifesteal, and a nuke of an ultimate still. There is really nothing much else more to say about nunu, he has a basic and simple but yet fun kit, surely one of the best reworks along with swain and warwick.

  8. Ezreal (VGU) Ezreal really needed some changes, however he is now a little annoying to fight. He is extremely slippery and has high damage. But hey, at least he is quite amazing now in game, he actually is quite viable now. They could at least tone it down a little bit on his movement though, he is quite slippery like I said. Other than that, he now seems near the same as he was before, except he can boost damage of his next attack on a single target instead of just firing random abilities at champions as poke before finishing them off with an ultimate.

I hope that the kayle rework, morgana vgu, and the chained champion end up great. As long as riot knows how to make champions fun and unique, and not put certaintyt into this, they will turn out great.

Complain about akali being OP while not really saying anything about kaisa and actually praising kaisa's kit (lolwut).

Joke ass OP, I'm just going to move on.

Here's the thing, I would complain about kai'sa if her ultimate did damage. It just being a chasing or follow-up tool is fine with me.

Her kit is fine, it's just her passive that needs a nerf. Who would have guessed scaling % hp damage would be broken? (besides everyone of course.)

Akali doesn't have true invisibility, that's just a false name given to it by the community which has a negative bias attached to it. Akali is "obscured" which means she can be revealed by true sight, but can't be targeted by point and click.

Her damage in 1 rotation is actually less than most of the assassins and it's very backloaded, that's why her new playstyle requires her to use multiple rotations to 100-0 champs unless she's already snowballing.
