Assassin/Mage match ups
I know this is demanding, but I'd like to know how Riot feels about the balance of mages and assassins. As a mage main, I can't do very much when I'm first picking and get countered into the ground by fizz, kat, or zed. With Yasuo I have some room to play, but not very much. The lane is oppressive, and after they inevitability get fed, the rest of the match is nightmarish. Couple this with Dark Harvest and there isn't much of a weak point in the game for them. I can't move fast enough to dodge everything. The point and click moves that dictate a lot of damage are unavoidable. A few seasons ago, mages got a mana nerf because assassins couldn't make a dent (which was only partially true) I'll admit I was away for season 8 and maybe that changed, but I think a re-examination of Assassins and mages is needed. There isn't much counter play (which is suppose to be a tenant of game play). And the fun is very one sided. Again, I used to be able to counter-play Kat and even Zed a little bit, but not anymore. Those matches are toxic. Not because of the player, but the champ they are using. Not even completed items and they dole out damage more than I can if I hit my whole combo. If I land everything I still don't put out as much as they do. Their mana costs are small or non-existent.
So Riot, how do you feel about this? Is it where you think it should be?
