Players on "Toaster" computers

I've got an idea on filtering out the players who try to play league on sub par hardware. I don't know how many of you remember when some games required you to pass a minimum specs test but I feel like Riot should implement a system like that into the game or even add some kind of in game test that checks things like your cpu speed and gpu settings to maybe give you a more playable experience.

I say this because the amount of games ruined by people who can't connect to the game or people who constantly d/c because of pc related issues is too high, and it's only getting worse with each major update to the game. I know i'm probably just wasting my time with this idea but something needs to be done and it doesn't take a lot to run this game.

I'm not being an "elitist dickwaffle" as you so kindly put it. I myself play the game in between minimum and recommended specs. I understand the connection side of things but there is more to it than just that. There are people who literally can't run the game who are trying to run it and get stuck in loading screen or fail to launch the game at all. Perhaps if you thought about the subject for more than 30 seconds before posting a reply you'd see that.

there actually isn't

there is stuff that needs to load into RAM sure but, on lower end machines the graphics setting will be so low that is completely negligible.

its not like your ps3 game loading between levels. it entirely based on the connection.

if u have a top of the line homebuilt gaming PC and bring it to your grandma's house and hook it up to her DSL connection when you load into the game ( if u even CAN) its going to be slow as shit and effectively unplayable.

You failed to describe a hardware problem that would be detected by what you wanted to check.

You described an Internet problem, which may or may not be dependent on ISP, number of people at home, time of day, etc. Alternatively, you may have described a problem with PC overheating, resulting in a forced shutdown.

It's pretty unlikely that people will have a computer that's worse than Windows XP w/ 1GB of RAM and 2.0Mhz processor. It's not the minimum specs that are the problem.
