Soon as I entered ranked I started losing.

So before I decided to play ranked i was 17W 3L. Then once I played ranked now I'm 3W 17L. It makes me wonder if ranked is full of smurfs causing games to just go really badly. I'm playing Zac mostly and his damage is just very weak. Even with AP runes and Magic Pen. Which causes me to dive deep for the squishies and well I'm also squishy at that point. I been building him tanky but that just doesn't work when you also need to carry a team who will feed and not deal much damage. What is best champ to carry a team that will most likely feed and cause big problems? I thought jungle was the answer but maybe I need to play top and dominate a lane so at least one lane doesn't feed.

keep in mind that normals is super easy compared to ranked. There are a lot of smurfs in ranked for sure, but overall its just more competitive, people play seriously in general and its just harder overall. it will take some getting used too.

my advise to climb would be to 1 trick your favorite champ. its the easiest and fastest way to climb in ranked.

Learn To Carry .... its not about damage .. its about Pressure. damage plays its role but nothing beats pressure. sure you can play top.. and dominate .. but what will you do with your lead ? sit in lane ? or be an annoying fucker that won't leave bot lane alone. to tanky for mid to deal with . while counter jungling the enemy jungler HAS A TOP LANER, all while keeping pressure on your lane. and punishing the enemy for making mistakes?

You've got a lot to learn about the game if you want to compete in ranked. It's much more competitive, and there is less room for error than in normals. I recommend spending some more time learning the nuanced strategies of the game, as well as more about each role and how they win the game.

Zac for example, is considered a tank, it is his job to soak up damage for his team while catching and disrupting enemies to make them easier to kill. he does not function well as a damage dealer.

When you look at champions in the game client it should show you which ones are considered harder and which ones are considered easier. I recommend playing only the easy ones for a while because that leaves you with more of your attention to focus on learning strategies for the overall game.

Some easy champions to use while you learn about the game:

Top:

Garen Garen, Nasus Nasus, Gangplank Gangplank

Jungle:

Malphite Malphite, Amumu Amumu, MasterYi Master Yi, Warwick Warwick

Mid:

Annie Annie, Veigar Veigar

Bot:

Ashe Ashe, Tristana Tristana

Support:

Janna Janna, Alistar Alistar

You can get some of these champions for free by following Riot on various media platorms and then contacting Riot Support here:

To learn more about strategies and other nuanced techniques and mechanics that high level players use, I recommend watching guides by youtubers that make a living teaching about league of legends. Here are a few:
