Another new champion already?

I understand they want to pop champions out cause it makes it Diverse but come on, it hasn't even been 3 weeks since Gnars release and they still need to patch him up, buff or nerf. Why are they already wanting to release Azir? The only way I can put this into Perspective is BF4/BFH Battlefield 4, still needs work guys, I think we should patch the Netc--... BATTLEFIELD HARDLINE BETA, Release, Done, another 4 million in our pockets. That's what I compare this too.

Think about this.

We waited 3 months and 2 days between Braum and Gnar. That's the longest amount of time between any two champion releases to date.

The Shurima Lore event and the game mode to accompany it, Ascension, have been in the works for months. Most likely since the end of the Freljord Lore Event. That was back in April of 2013, a long time. Riot most likely wants to move forward with it before Worlds begin.

Just an old champ concept that finally gets to see the fields of Justice. I think it's excitement on their part. Plus, like Gnar, he has a reasonably different, more mastery-driven, play style. They're excited.

And I understand being excited but regardless you should still be thinking about Gnar, not pushing out another Champion, that's double the work, plus theres still the new SR eventually, and they still get DDoS'd and have server disconnects, making another Champion doesn't make me wanna play the game more lol.

While all of what you're saying is true individually, you have to remember that the team that creates new champions is not the same team that works to correct server instability.

The guys are working to make the game more stable. Another team is working on the new Rift. ANOTHER team is working on the launcher.

It's not the same set of people dividing their time and saying "Well connections to the game have sucked lately, but I'd rather work on this champ than fix that problem." It's a completely different set of people working on projects at the same time.

And on top of that, you have subdivisions of the teams. The guys who made Gnar are still working on Gnar right now. This is the Azir team releasing their "finished product." They deem him ready enough for live. and they will support him after he releases, but the same people are not also supporting Gnar. There's a couple guys working on each champ when they're new. After they're set, then each person has a few champs to manage.

Well thats one unfair comparision imao. All new champions get tweaks after release. Hell, balance in mobas constantly changes so buff or nerfs are only natural part of the cycle.

If you where to compare it with BF, game would have to be broken, unable to work after the new patch.

The only reason why Asir was shipped was because he was ready.

Honestly with the several new mechanics Azir is throwing around I expect him to bake on the PBE longer than usual to iron them out. Keep in mind he's NOT out yet, he's just been revealed (shipped to the PBE).
