Like, they get shut down so hard by a single 800 gold item, its not even funny anymore. Not to mention that item builds into a core item for every ADC out there. Or at least nerf it so it isnt applied to every AA, but instead make it more conditional like Morellos.
junglerboy161 votesCompensation buffs would only serve to make them more binary (if you have EC, they're still relatively weak, if you don't have EC, they're overpowered).
Removing Grievous wounds or slashing the strength of the item (say 20% healing reduction down from 40%, or possibly requiring it to stack up to 40% at 5% per attack on a target) would be a much better solution.

junglerboy161 votesYeah, but what if you can't buy EC, or at least, can't afford to waste a slot on it? I'm talking about the top lane tanks who have to face an overbuffed Aatrox without grievous wounds available. Sure, he might end up perfectly balanced once mid game rolls around and an ADC gets into the action and ECs him to death, but until then he would make your life in lane a living hell.
You don't deserve to lose because your champ can't work EC into their build, and buffing the healing champs instead of nerfing EC just serves to make ADCs even more required for success and every other role less viable in return.
