i personally thought galio was pretty good, his major issue was really bad mana problems, so im still surprised riot chose to rework him so soon. before other champs that actually need it, like urgot or morde. i think new galio is also pretty good but he's a completely different champion. personality wise, visual wise, ability wise, nothing carried over from old galio. like, now he's really excited about everything, never shuts up just like every new champ, and he isnt even a gargoyle anymore. i like the new urgot because you can tell he's urgot, he still looks like urgot. but when I got back to league a few days ago and saw this white monster thing in champ select I thought it was a new champ, not galio.

if im gonna be honest here, a lot of these reworks are disappointing, underwhelming, stupid, or just all of the above. rammus got gutted for no reason, leblanc is just really weird and I cant even tell if she's good, rengar's new q literally doesnt do damage at any point in the game, zac is annoying now, cho is cho

I'm going to point out things using numbers because it's easier.

The point of reworks is to change the champion, granted Galio's went way to far from his original personality and makes me sad to this day, if his personality was the same I'd be fine
Visual wise I think he looks pretty good now, though he looks majorly different from his original concept
Ability wise, a few things did carry over but where changed up. His win skill-shot was moved to his Q as just damage which becomes his old Q (I think, I forgot if his ball was Q or E) when the wind converges. His ult got scaled down in radius and moved to his W, which also gave him the ability to move during the channel along with the spell shield passive and damage reduction. Everything else though was changed.
