A Small Change to Thresh to make him Solo-Lane Viable

is one of my favorite support champions. I enjoy his utility based kit, being helpful and aggro at the same time, and the sweet sweet _clink _ of a landed hook. There have been many times that I said, "I wish I could take Thresh to another lane without feeling like a total nub." So I tried to think of ideas that could make him solo-lane viable without taking away his concept or his usefulness to the team. This is the idea I came up with.

Change his Dark Passive (W) where instead of granting an ally a shield, it instead emits an AOE aura that heals allies and damages enemies over time. The ability's heal/damage aura would scale with AP and work extremely well with his heavy CC kit. To keep from stealing CS from his adc, one would simply click W again to recall the lantern.
