disregardable1 votesI tried it. It was bad. She doesn't have any zoning. She's very exposed when she wants to attack while being squishy. Sure, she has some nice % health damage, can slow for 1 second, and can save your ADC in the last second. Kayle does just as much damage, same useful ult, has a 3 second chase, and has a heal. Want to Kalista support? take Kayle instead.

GundayMonday1 votesI could see it working. Would be a nightmare to lane against as a melee support. I would also camp bot lane the entire game as a jungler so you would never hit 6 or use that extra damage in lane. Especially since you wouldn't have any hard cc pre 6. My $0.02.
disregardable1 votesThere are no melee supports that aren't tanks. None. "Buuut Akali sup-" No. They also don't need to farm, so they can stay behind the minions, where Kalista can't hit them because she has no AOE.
TotalJerk1 votesAll W passive procs give kill credit to Kalista. In addition, even with items her damage output is considered pretty low. I'm personally also finding her W to be a temporary measure and not an acceptable replacement for wards.
