I am going to guess they will revisit this in the 8.6 PBE cycle

Yeah, we'll revisit Locket changes. Whether it's the ones that were on PBE earlier this week or other changes, I'm not sure.
Was an interesting direction to take it, this would prob be broken but if you keep the damage reduction field how bout have it be like Maokai's Old ult when you changed it from a zone he puts down to a zone around him?
May I ask why you guys decided to revisit Locket and what are you looking to do with Locket and what direct you are trying to push it towards?
As long as locket remains a reactive, teamwide, defensive item i'm probably good. Live functionality as a teamwide shield means it is one of the few support items that allows the support to support the team instead of being the ADCs extra stat providing bitch.
Nah, it was just a bad design direction.
If you've ever seen a teamfight above bronze, that thing would just be totally useless.

But far more healthy than current locket, which is basically "if you have 2 functioning braincells, a carry near you is immune to burst"
If by "far more healthy" you mean "built all of never", sure.
Never know how something will play out until it on live
I mean, sure.
But you can get a good idea from looking at how people play the game. And that thing's main utility would be to ward off tower dives for all of 8 seconds.

Even though the zone is stationary having the 35 % damage reduction is really fucking good. In a teamfight with Cc frontlines who lock someone down or thrown on your backline hypercarries, it's pretty huge. I think you vastly underestimate the item. It could even be good in a 1v1 scenario to force your opponent off you or take a really bad all in.
Good. I liked the flat amount, personally. I get that a % amount could be huge if used at the right time, but there's something about negating an Ignite/etc. that is appealing.
