Concerns about new champ select

I've always felt that top/mid shouldn't be 1st picks because lanes get destroyed fairly quick when you get hard countered. is this something taken into consideration, or is it still necessary to trade if you want to safely pick your top laner?

If they do this too one team, thrill do it to another.

I love being last pick too and I main bot

Well I thought this is what the "intended pick phase" was for; so you can communicate with your teammates with your champion picks?

I think the order will still be random. Nobody likes being first pick; it's just a matter of who can pick first the safest. The pros do it a certain way, and Riot isn't going to enforce that on anyone else. You'll have to communicate with your team about trading if you want to not get countered.

It's just so frustrating to get 1st pick and the support/jg/adc (whichever one is 4th or 5th pick) doesn't have any of the champions. I've had teammates rage at me because they panic picked a champ (after saying they didn't own like champions I told them to pick for me) I didn't want to play, so I refused to trade with them.

I rather be a support any day than to get stuck playing top lane MasterYi or mid Azir (not that they're bad picks, but just that I suck with them and would feed, so I rather have somebody else feed while I safely play support)

Or they panic pick Nasus into Renekton, no way in hell you're getting me to play that lane.
