Ascension Game Mode bug?

So, I just played a game of Ascension and the last team fight we fought and won, something REALLY weird happened. The HUD just left. Goodbye. Gone. Instead, we have these wonky end-game sound effects playing, souls are coming out of the sky into our characters and then...Bugsplat. I kid you not, this is only the second time bugsplat has ever popped up. I exited out of that and it told me to reconnect. I shrugged and pressed okay, but then a message popped up saying, "You cannot connect because you've been disconnected from the internet" (even though that's a complete lie).

It brings me back to the reconnect screen and I hear the sounds of the end-game report going off. It stops and I press reconnect again. It brings me to the main page. This is all really weird.
