League of Legends CAN be fun!

Hey. R Unit here. To set a little background, I'm one of the more competitive people you'll ever know. Although I worked out much of my rage out during the earlier years when it was just myself and Super Mario Bros. on the Gameboy Color, I still have that drive, that pounding heartbeat and the ultimate desire to win each of my games. Of course, it took me a while to realize that I shouldn't have been so hard on myself and others back when I played Normals all the time.

Because of this and a year of playing LOL, I finally made the switch to focus on Ranked. I had "friends" online, but I got used to just soloing it up. I had this system where I'd play a game of ranked as Fill (a.k.a. Support and maybe Top once in a while, but then someone leaves and I get back in as Support), play a game of Normals in which I play Sion for fun and because of the new skin (Of which I would always lose because of a mixture of Sion being seemingly irrelevant in my hands and this meta & my team mates) and go back into Ranked as Support. This way, my elo was higher for Normals and my elo was lower for Ranked. A couple times, this system didn't work, but it worked surprisingly well.

I got low. I lost 5 games in a row and got demoted to Bronze. I rage quit the game and even went so far as to un-install LOL. After a while, I came back. I kept going with the system I had, but then just stopped with those shenanigans and went all Ranked except for special game modes and practicing champs in Normals.

Recently, I've cleared out a LOT of excess "friends" and finally REALLY connected with a couple of people who are consistently around when I am to play League. And they're good players! They just get stuck with the typical problems of incompetency that are found in solo games of LOL...Blech. You know what I mean....

So, I've been playing game after game and...even as Support, the game is FUN. I mean, really fun! The dragon (oh, I'm sorry. Drake!) buffs are awesome. I'm always wondering and thinking "What will we get this time? What would be really good right now? Is it time to go kill a Drake? I need to get over there and ward and get scuttle!" Now, friends and myself, of whom have been suffering from getting pooped on when going solo, are now winning game after game. We're figuring out team comps, what to build and we're having the best of time communicating. Finally, I can talk with someone or some people over Skype and laugh and discuss and emit all of the weird noises that I make when getting dangerously close to dying, chased, etc.

League of Legends CAN be a fun game for people to play together. I know people, like videogamedunkey, disagree with that and it's a shame (I miss that guy, btw).
