Suggestion: Give Karthus' wall the same "cast outside of range" feature as his Q has

When Karthus uses his Q (while inside his passive) and casts it outside of range, it automatically is casted on max range. Sadly, not the same thing happens with his wall. As a high elo Karthus main, I can tell it is sometimes frustrating when you are hitting that W button so many times and nothing is happening, simply because your cursor is a little bit too far away. This is pretty weird, especially since the way the Q is basically wanting players (or at least supporting them) to just cast the spells outside of your normal range.

Would be a nice quality of life change to add this "cast outside of max range" feature which his Q already has to his W spell too.

I feel like "cast on max range when out of range" is simply better than "walk into range to cast" for most abilities, except fot some specific ones such as trap and terrain abilities.

I'd disagree respectfully. If I put my cursor somewhere and push an ability I want it to go off at the position I select. If that means I have to walk up, that's fine. But I'm not okay with wasting an ability because I didn't walk up before.

How exactly do you intend on walking in Karthus passive?

He is asking this feature to be added while in his Passive not while Karthus is alive. I don't see a reason why it shouldn't work like that since the Q already functions like that.

OP did want it for Karthus Dead state, but Deckowner (to whom it was response to) is speaking generally. Switch from chronological view outside of GD, it helps.

Well now I look silly ^^ how do you change the view by the way? I did on accident once and I can't figure out how to change it back to normal.

Edit: Figured it out! sorry again for the false accusation

How are people actually upvoting this? The comment I replied to was saying the feature was OVERALL better (as in for EVERYONE). So your entire point is irrelevant..

Uh.. that's not at all what the comment they replied to was asking for.

u should know the range of yoyr abilities. If you want to cast out of range, walking into range before you cast is simply better than cast it and have your champion autopath to get in range

Here's your point in reverse.

You should know the range of your abilities, if you don't want to be auto pathed into range only use abilities when you're already in range.

See how that doesn't hold up?

just for any ability honestly.

Just as a general response: Yes, Karthus cannot walk while being in his passive and enemies are for sure running away from your corpse, so using your abilities on the highest possible range is a pretty common thing when you are playing Karthus. Since this "cast on max range when casted out of range while in passive" already exists for his Q, I personally see no reason to not add the same feature to his W. The technology is there and it would remove frustrating W pressing without the ability being cast.

I didn't know his q will cast if your mouse is out of range while in your passive. I can't get q's off because my mouse is just out of range.

i'd bite on this also an indicator on your ult for remaining time until lockout would be nice.
