The question of "Is League dying" is a funny thing. You get people who say it is dying because they get banned or lose a few games. You also get people who instantly say "no" because they believe whatever they are told. Both are wrong. But this article says something interesting and was written last year after the mess Riot created:

I have only watched a limited amount of it but I get the idea. There were always things that just turned me away from watching it long term.

I don't know how far you've reach and how much you know, but if you can, i suggest you continue. There were moment i had to pause and go walk around my room and be like "WHAT THE FUUUUCK?!?" and even replay them just to make sure it really happened. XD

Yeah, I am not sold on it actually ever fully dying. But that is a huge loss in the number of players and is a huge thing for a company to start making cuts. Games from the 90s still exist but have lost 95% of their playerbase. I would consider them dead by all reasonable views. I hope the opposite for League. I want Riot to make the right decisions... sadly, I know better. :/
