What in the world is this Alistar rework?

[6.22 Alistar changes] Context and feedback thread

This seems disgustingly forced and out of the blue. All of these lowscale changes/reworks are honestly beginning to verge of the WoW level of making unnecessary changes. Even with the provided context I really do not see where these changes are coming from.

And also, believe it or not, Alistar is played in other lanes besides bottom lane; think about how that is going to hurt those lanes at the cost of minimally helping is laning phase as a support (and honestly these changes may not even accomplish that).

I don't quite get how it ruins Alistar for other lanes given that he was already an extremely niche pick in those lanes with the sole purpose of dumpstering laners.

All in all outside of alistars pulverise+headbutt combo, his kit has very little synergy within itself, his heal and ultimate are very out of place for the kind of tank Alistar is.

they wanted to reduce his dmg across the board, people were playing alistar as an assassin because he had insane ratios. The change was 100% justified.

Seems like some good QOL stuff in there as well as general kit modernization.
