Fun and Balance
Okay, so I've been playing League of Legends for around 7 years, since the first season (Around the release of Akali). This game has turned from a small, silly, and fun clone; to a complex, frustrating, and boring game (IMHO).
It started out very simple. Few champs, and few buttons.
- Every item now has an active and a passive
- Every character (Reworked or new) now has to have an active and a passive on all or most abilities. Not to mention they now have to have at least one get in and one hard CC (Which makes the game automatically unbalanced as, you know, all your other champs?)
- Constant new champs?!?!?!? Why!?!?!? Really, I get it, money. Why though? We have around 150 champs and only around 50 of those can be used to play a game with. So what is the point in making 100+ champs unusable? So people cannot use their other champs? If you add one champion that makes another useless, you haven't got 2 champions, you have 1.
- Pings, nice job I love that. Really helpful, along with the mini-map teleport indicator.
- Wards, sightstone, etc. Was a clear system, now you have trinkets and sightstones. Sightstone is a good idea, but IMHO worthless. It takes up one slot of your inventory for a benefit of -800(1600) gold, one slot, and +300hp. For what? A couple of wards that last fractionaly longer than the trinket, when you can only place two of them down, they don't regenerate meaning you have to go back to base. Yet they are an important part of the gameplay. WTF? A limit on wards, when you buy a warding item with only 3, when your trinket gets 2 and regenerates. It's like you hate supports still, even after 7 years. Making them buy a useless item that gives them little benefit but a lot of drawbacks.
- Adaptability, this game will soon be abandoned as 90% of people use phones to play video games. This means Mobile Legends, and other such clones, will fly by you as you suck your thumb worrying about PC gamers. Rather than moving with the times of technology...
- and this is a big one, why do you seem to only care about the 'good' and 'pro' players of the game. Who might I add want to make it more niche, more complex, and more frustrating for your average player. You got to where you are by creating a popular game. but who do you ask for advice about it? The 0.0000000000001% who take the game far too seriously.
- For the millionth time, 3 v 3 was great, why turn it into an ARAM? The spider, is stupid, the alters are stupid, the health is stupid. Sure keep it as a game mode, but don't insult 3 v 3 by calling it 3 v 3. It's not, it's a mix between ARAM and 5 v 5 with 3 players on each team.
- URF is great, why stop people playing it?
- Why make it so hard to block someone? It is easy to report someone (Which apparently does nothing other than maybe telling them off, as they are paying customers are you are VERY LENIENT with multiple offenders). So, reporting them is easy, but choosing not to play with a toxic player is very hard, and frustrating??????????????????? Honestly, if I don't have to play with so many toxic players, even though the game is not as fun as it used to be, I might actually enjoy myself.
- The reward system. You already had one, remember, you know, IP? So the earning of IP... I have played well over 6k games on my main account. It only took me SEVEN YEARS to finally have every rune and every rune page. Still down around 10 new champs though (Which reminds me, you ever going to drop the price of champions again, ever? Last time you reduced the champion price was around four years ago). Not to mention the TWO times in the whole seven years that you have reduced the price of rune pages.
Everybody else just wants to have fun, with champions and skins they've bought but cannot feel they can play EVER dues to how biased the game is. Such as Skarner, I loved Skarner. Sure his Ulti was strong, like WW's (Instant), so you nerfed that and he became useless.
N.B/ If his automatic suppress was over powered, why not add the same wait period for WW or Malz surpress?
Only took you 2 years to revamp him and he's still not great... Sion was great, now he's not even thought of. If you ask for advice from people who just want to make the game more elitist, you will alienate the people that just want to have fun.
I have been saying the same things over, and over again. Never listened to, never ignored. I am one of the players who has played the most games in the world. Things that are better: Graphics, Servers, Reliability. Things that are worse: Community, Playability, Balance, Fun, Entertainment, frustration, annoyance.
Basically, this is a huge rant. How a lot of things are getting worse and very few are getting better. I've warned that League will lose a lot of original players, such as myself, welp. This is it. I barely play anymore because I don't find it fun anymore. How-ever Mobile Legends which is an almost direct clone, is simple, and fun, and entertaining.
If I am one of the most dedicated players, and I still have almost nothing earnt to show for that. Kinda sad...
- This one is a big one for me. I love the additions (Champion mastery, etc.). However you introduced it with everyone equal. So despite me having played over 1,000 games as Singed, I am still mastery level 1. You have the stats, why make somone who made their account yesterday the same mastery as someone who had been playing for years? Plus, WTF is the whol mastery, mastery, mastery mastery? I get it, you have 'mastered' the champ. What kind of mastery requires you to buy it? If I bought a gold medal and then swam three widths does that make me a gold medalist swimmer? No, and no way. You get mastery from mastering the champ, it should have 0% to do with anything else.
Eh well, Riot don't care. They've made tons of money and this post will be downvoted to hell.
