mystic shot applies on-hit effects. spellblade is an on-hit effect, wether from trin, lich or iceborn. Luden' is NOT an on-hit effect
while luden's does not proc with ez's Q, it will proc with ez's W.

This is also why GP's Q won't proc Luden. Get used to it.

Ez's Q has never been a spell, but it isn't because it applies on-hit effects. It is because it doesn't apply spell effects like Rylai's slow or spell vamp. Jax's W and ult proc, Poppy's Q, Renekton's W proc both on-hit effects and spell effects(Renekton would proc Muramana 4 times with empowered W if he used mana), but GP, MF and Ez Q only do on-hit. Also, I'm fairly sure that Cho's E procs spell effects, but Teemo's does not even though you'd think they are basically the same thing.
They should probably provide more clarity on this rather than having you test in-game or look it up on fan sites that may or may not be accurate, but it has always been like this.
