Did people forget Zyra was broken?

Whatever slap on the wrist she got before did absolutely nothing. One root landed is insta lane loss and even if it misses the plants still do considerable damage

That was my reaction when I am forced to run away from 3 plants that will do 900 damage 8 minutes in or try to actually kill the enemy.

You just haven't learned how to play against her. It's not to terribly difficult, but you're still sub-30, so it's not unexpected for you not to have learned how to handle playing against most champions.

Ah the great hordes of Zyra mains come to downvote me when I bring the truth.

Glad there is an upvoting system to support circle jerks.

Instead of complaining that she's broken, why not ask for advice to deal with her? Is that not more useful to you?

Zyra IS strong in the right hands. But she is beatable. You can see where her passive seeds are going to spawn. Walk on them before she can cast any spell there, especially early so she doesn't create a jungle. You can also bait her to cast spells this way, and dodge them accordingly. She will go oom (can't harass as much), she will push (creating ganking opportunities and letting turret insta-kill her plants), or she will mis-position (letting you or your support harass her).

Zyra can't heal herself, so she hates being poked down. However, she is decent against hard engage due to her CC and damage. Try to poke her from a distance.

Another tactic is to kill the plants. Tell your support to hit them when they spawn, and do the same yourself. If you have something like Morgana on your team, she can use W and nearly instantly kill them.

-sigh- I do not even want to know what rank you are. Before you try implying something, No I do not play Zyra really at all. She is not broken like you try to imply. She does require some common sense to play against however. Walk onto the plant orbs, make sure to walk to them making it look like your going to step on them, and then walk away just before the Zyra uses an ability to plant them.

Also, long range tends to work best vs her. Either that or Blitz/Thresh to pull her close. Its like fighting vs a soraka, but instead of healing her team to full hp as fast as possible, she is supposed to bring your hp to 0 as fast and easily as possible. All the ways of countering a Soraka pretty much applies to Zyra.

Some of the ways of beating Soraka work on Zyra. Leona is not one of them.

Well, close enough to all. Leona is still viable though because lockdown, and you can stun plants! Lol

True, you can stun one, the other 2-4 are the problem though.

Except that you can't really engage on Zyra (or her Adc for that matter) with most support champs and junglers... Soraka on the other hand is one of the easiest champs in the game to engage on.

And massive dmg, vs massive heals...

You're right, basically the same champ...

EDIT: says "I do not even want to know what rank you are." .....is only Silver II himself............ (smacks forhead)

You must be another that can't play against a Zyra.... while this "only silver II" can. Easily. I used it as a comparison because either you get in her face and shut her down (like a Soraka) or you bring her to you (like a Soraka) and as long as you were not too reckless at the start, she is just the same as any squishy support apart from they have no speed. That lack of speed that most squishy supports have (Sona, Nami, Janna, Lulu..........) is what is a major downfall for her.

And yes, I do main support and hardly ever have troubles with her. The only time I have any actual issues is when my ADC keeps getting caught and not waiting for me to bait out an engage via making her use her plant orbs with her root. But im "only Silver II"....... I must not have met ANY good Zyra's before....... or beat them.... or lost because of them for stupid reasons other than her being "broken"......

Go ahead, take another swing at me :) Does not matter the rank, which is why I said I do not even want to know. Higher ranks should be ashamed to call her "broken" while lower elo just does not know better.

She's not broken, she's fairly strong yes. She also is really good at punishing people with poor positioning.
