Dynamic Queue sends a clear message.

**You aren't the kind of player we want. **

Don't have a lot of friends who play LoL? You aren't the kind of player we want.

Don't want to make fake friendships with random people on the internet just to play a game? You aren't the kind of player we want.

Take competition seriously enough that you think ranked should be an even playing field? You aren't the kind of player we want.

And it turns out that's actually quite a few people. And it turns out that those people are a bit upset to hear this. And that's understandable. But past a certain point, I think it's time to listen to the message they're sending. It's time to take the hint. It's time to stop pretending that Riot cares about us. Because we aren't the kind of players they want.

Maybe they know what they're doing, and LoL will do better than ever. Or maybe this is a mistake, and the game will suffer as a result. We don't know for sure. But if the choice is between sticking around and beating our heads against a brick wall or accepting that we aren't the target audience for this game anymore, maybe it's time to walk away.

Maybe it's time to recognize that LoL was a great game, and then it wasn't so great any more. Like a lot of things. And instead of trying to hold on to the past, trying to hold on to the magic and wonder that we found in it once, we should leave the past in the past, and understand that nothing lasts forever.

It's like a relationship that started out great. You really loved each other. And the whole thing seemed like an adventure. But as time went by, you both changed, and what became apparent was that you aren't what she was really looking for. So she complained about you, and you complained about her, and negative feelings built up, and the whole thing got ugly. Maybe what would have been best for both of you would just be to walk away. Remember the good times and let go.

Riot isn't going to walk away, folks. They're a business, they're not going to shut down your account or refuse to take your money. But they're telling you as loudly as they can.

You aren't the kind of player we want.

Maybe we should listen.

I was never the kind of player Riot wants. League was never the game I wanted. But, thanks to fucking F2P / DLC / greedy ass suits sucking everyone dry... every game out there is just shitty. I played WoW for over 10 YEARS, and then Blizzard / Activision decided being the top MMO wasn't enough, and simplified their game so much that it was just boring as all hell -- all to attract those mentally challenged monkeys that couldn't play before.

So, I'd LOVE to quit this fucking shitty game forever, and be done with greedy ass Riot and our glorious Asian overlord Tencent... but there's nothing else to play. Every other company is just as shitty, the majority of games out there lack any kind of quality or developer attention (thanks cash shops), and everything is just kind of boring. So even though I hate League, I have nothing better to do. TV is shitty these days, modern authors are trash, very few good movies come out, I have no friends, nothing. So it's play games I hate, or stare at a wall / sleep all day.

Really wish people listened several years ago, and didn't go enabling shitty F2P companies. But, they did, and we were right about F2P being the death of gaming.

Maybe we should listen.

And I already did. No league played in 3 weeks (not even normals). Looking forward to Overwatch =)

I agree, now im not the kind of people who defend dota over anything and im relatively a new player. I started playing dota 2 and im not having the same fun when i played LoL. Game feels slow and it feels laggy to play due to the turning mechanics. But atleast they have solo queue and they are the game i'll be playing (i couldn't even open solo q yet im lvl 10). I started right after i saw the last riot please post.

For now, all we can do is stop playing LoL and stop spending money on RP. It's such a shame Riot has taken this "aggresive" stance into alienating solo queue players. "We aren't the kind of player we want" Well, solo queue player helped Riot reach of what it has become.

This is starting to look of what WoW and Diablo 3 development team did. They want to reach more players, but in reality they are damaging the core element of what made the product great in the first place.
