Can someone give me some tips on how to play Akali?

As you can obviously see looking at my match history, I have no clue on how to play akali...can someone give me some advice?

Akali's damage is on the lower side of the assassin class's. Don't die pre 6 and learn how to position in lane/farm under the turret.

Sit under turret and stay alive until 6. She hasn't been one of the better assassins in years as Katarina and Dian do everything better than her.

BTW her ult does like no damage and is used as a gap closer. Everyone saying to wait until 6 probably hasn't played her before. Diana you want to wait until 6 because that's where her damage is. Akali it's her mainly used as a gap closer. Level 3 is when akali is strongest
