Azir rework was a massive failure. After PBE nerfs he ll be left in a worse spot he ever was.
This are the Pbe nerfs
Azir Conquering Sands (Q) cooldown increased from 11/9.5/8/6.5/5 to 15/12.5/10/7.5/5 (this probably forces us to max Q bigger nerf then 1 might think)
Arise (W) secondary stab damage lowered from 40/70/100% at 1/6/11 to 20/40/60% at 1/6/11 (this is piercing damage for those who wont understand)
#Where did Riot go wrong with AZIR from AN Azir main First of all azir mains had a rough history. He was legitimetly the most bugged champion on release and the bugs kept occuring for 3 months
- They thought he needed a rework. This is something riot often does when they have no idea how to balance a champion
- They set his identity as a hypercarry. This caused snowball of bad changes. Azir mains never wanted hypercarry damage
So even right of a bat azir didnt need rework. Specially not over dozen of champions who actually need a rework. And specially not in a way where he gains hypercarry damage while suffers in every other aspect.
Now yes I understand Whiteknights ll start defending Riot in retrospect to horrible Ap itemization update in which Azir broke rylai yes I understand Azir is a rylai boogie man alright calm down now
Everything wrong with Azir rework eventhough the direction is wrong in itself:
- His Maximun poke range was decreased, while his Soldier radius and maximun W range increased
- this is just straight up bad change. Now he moves a soldier he summoned by 100 range (Feels pointless and bad)
- The higher soldier radius is pain if you are melee since azir can sit in it not matter how you rotate
- There was counterplay to azir in ranged vs ranged matchups because in a past he couldnt spawn soldier so far up (azir had to come closer)
Back in a past they did the opposite with azir range changes. And I though it was 1000/10 change now they have gone 11231 steps backwards
- Emperors divide is no longer as unique I could list around 60 champions WHO HAVE "unstoppable" on their jumps and those who dont are just full of dashes like Le blanc Akali Ahri
They kept updating a list with AATROX q, Warwick Q and R, Shyvana R.
Why did Azir ultimate need to become a fking dull wall once it stopped
His dash now always grants shield? How the fk is anyone supposed to gank Azir? He never uses E in lane. Good azir ll always have 1 W charge up. And now he is guranteed to gain a shield
Not to mention this reminds of kassadin Q shield. I STILL hate the fact they made kassadin shield instant but whatever its not a secret there are atleast 3 kassadin mains in Riot balance team.
The whole 3 soldier gimmick is ughh I ll retrain myself from saying some Insanely toxic stuff
THIS 3 SOLDIER SHIT WAS RELEVANT MAYBE ONCE IN MY LAST 10 AZIR GAMES SO YEAH 10/10 next level gimmick. It only baits people in bad CDR builds thats all it does
TO put it in retrospective. Imagine if Yasuo gained 20 ability power until he dashes again if he did Air nado
99% of you dont even know what air nado is What would yasuo do with 20 ability power till hsi next dash?
Thats how gimmicky the whole 3 soldier azir shit is
