Most and Least Successful Rework To Date?

I would say the most successful rework is either Warwick or Aatrox . Both are in a really, really good state right now and I honestly do not think either need nerfs. I know when Aatrox rework came out it was stupid broken, but now he is in a good spot.

I think the least successful rework(s) have been: Ryze because he is just never in a good spot. There is always something wrong with him. They really just need to do a vgu with him and make him good.

So who in your opinion has been the most successful or least?

Taric Most successful for me is always going to be Taric. They did such a good job making him feel outrageous and protective. He is the posterboy for warden gameplay.

Shen Shen's rework was an improvement, but I think they missed an opportunity to make him really badass and fun to play. He has some cool mechanics, but they're just feel kinda uninspired to me, tbh. Blocking autos is good but never feels great, global TP should have been changed, and his Q gives him a rather boring 3 hit passive. Could've done better, in my opinion. Keeping E was the right move, but I feel Q, W, and R needed more/different changes.

I personally love Nunu's & Swain's Rework. Both really good.

best imo is sion, they managed to make a tank with a skill cap that takes more than 2 games to master, worst i gotta go with skaner because they didnt fix any of his problems and hes still shit tier

WW would have been put on the bad reworks if CT was working alone when he reworked him.

His hand was held during the WW rework and he did not get to add all the things he wanted. Rumor is that ww ult would fear everyone around the one he pounced during ulti. More or less a massive aoe fear along with his e fear i would assume. True? I don't know. But wouldn't be surprised if it was.

as much as i want to say my main Nidalee , she did case a slight isse between 4.10 and 4.17 and after 5.1 the starting UNDOING parts of her rework to throw her into the jungle.. i do feel like she was one of the best reworks out there though

nidalee was to make her not stay human form all day throwing spears.. and uninteractive this not only succeeded by made tremendously more fun to play, as well has giving her much more counterplay and risk

Warwick rework was also REALLY well

Leblanc rework was the ONLY rework in the assassin update that succeeded in giving the champion in question counterplay.. although since SOME lb mains didn't like having counterplay.. they convinced riot to rework her. because to them having counterplay "isn't fun"

Xerath also had a very good one Yorick and Urgot Sion andGalio all took champs that were never played and made then fun and good. although old Galio was more "niche" to counter heavy ap than "bad". and he was certainly fun to play.. but i do like the new one better

#The Bad

as for worst reworks well Ryze XD Aatrox is certainly up there as basic being absolutely nothing like the old kit at all Irelia and Akali are obviously up there RekSai is definitely one of the worst although by the time they did it she was so worthless from all her nerfs it made no difference Skarner was also pretty bad i dont rember much about anything about old Mordekaiser but, yeah.. Katarina rework was horrible mainly due to the endless shunpo resets making it impossible to her her with any non-point- and-click, let alone the cc u need to let her down

Least successful reworks have been Malzahar and Mordekaiser. As much as i miss pre-rework sion support, him, warwick, and poppy are some of the best relaunches riots done.

Although i do agree that new Aatrox is in a good state now, the reason i don't like his rework is because of how he's a completely different experience compared to old Aatrox. He went from and aa based drain tank duelist, to an ability reliant juggernaut thingy. Also they changed him from a calm god of war to a depressed nihilistic russian man.

What do you mean by "successful"? Because I've successfully played every reworked champion to date before and after the reworks and to me they're enjoyable and fitting.

Thematically, the best rework is definitely Sion. Mostly because he didn't actually have a personality before his rework; he was just a walking Arnold Schwarzenegger meme. They managed to turn him into the badass axe-wielding behemoth he was always meant to be.

Gameplay-wise, I'd go with Warwick. Old Warwick was boring as hell to play with little opportunity for interaction on his part or the opponent's. All he did was press R, then stand there and slap you to death. His animations were terrible, and his model was ugly af. New Warwick has a lot more depth and mechanics to master, yet he still remains a good example of simplicity done right.
