Just hoping to get Riots thoughts on Player vs AI

So I am one of those players that plays primarily player vs ai, but on occasion will do some ARAM and special game modes. I understand that many people prefer pvp but it just hasn't been for me at least up till now. Anyway, I have to questions that I was hoping Riot could answer.

  1. Last year I remember the bots being slightly more bloodthirsty and better at combos. Now it seems that they retreat at the first sign of taking damage. I think that the change came some time around when they made bots better at dodging skill shots. Regardless, I was wondering if there are any plans to make a higher tier of player vs ai? Perhaps one with more champions, some better ai, builds, and strategies. I imagine it would be difficult to program a jungler bot, but it sure would be fun.

  2. Would Riot ever considered disabling items like Sword of the Occult and Mejai's Soulstealer for Bot matches. As lame as primarily playing bot matches may sound to some i still enjoy it. And it irritates me to see those items roughly every second or third game. There is almost always someone purchasing one of them one their first back then proceeding to roam every lane taking kills. It also really detracts from the game when I am trying to show friends that are new to the game. I have always made a point of never purchasing those items as it feels like a cheap way to make my stats look good. I guess i have a similar reaction to someone purchasing one of those items as a person in pvp would to laning against a teemo or nidalee, lol.

Anyway, sorry for the long post, and I don't mean to come across as if I am complaining or anything. I really do enjoy this game and think you guys are doing a great job.

I agree i go into bots to practice last hitting, and practice mechanics on champs. I dont like ppl buying stack items and roaming the map in some delusional carry fantasy while i am just trying to play my lane and improve my skills on a new champ.

Although, it can be hilarious to still get a better score then a Katarina with Mejai's, lol

They should just have more difficulty modes. Beginner, Intermediate, Hard, and Hell.

Well I'm one of those who enjoy playing bot vs ai's and go meljas and steals eveything, but isn't what intermediate was amde for? Problem is we need 3 difficulties (I dont count intro caus it's really bad design to have the enemy come in 2 lvls under you 2 waves later) : easy for new players, intermediate for players like us that just want to destroy bots and a hard difficulty. How can we have a hard difficulty for the diamonds players of this world? Riot did found it last year : Doom Bots. It wasnt very hard to win but ou had to play well as a team to push at the ebst times, take objectives etc... (since it was almost impossible to fight 1v1 1v2 except if you had nocturne full ll or fiora with cleanse :D)

You're willing to remove a primary item in this mode, but that's not the solution. Solution is to reconsider how what kind of players are choosing this mode, what do they want and give them the best matchup they can have. Personally if they reintroduce permanently doom bots (lvl 5 only, lvl 1 and 3 were too easy) I would oly play that. I know it wasnt very popular but you always had under a minute queue, which is far better than dominio vs ai's.... Also theyw erent any bot in our team like you can see on 3v3 pvp or vs ai's and dominions

I guess in my opinion stealing kills in a bot match is completely different from PvP. In a PvP match it doesn't matter because everyone should be working as a team, taking advantage of an enemy death and pushing objectives. In that situation it should be considered kill secured. But in a bot match, where people are just trying to test out champions, builds, or are working on last hitting while still trying to enjoy the game, using those items to steal kills and snowball is extremely irritating. As it has been previously said, people going on a delusional carry fantasy and taking kills typically just sets everyone else back.

Additionally, I would go so far as to suggest that those items are not primary. They are an unbalanced item that are rarely used in higher tier play. Furthermore they don't really assist people in learning how to play champions or set up builds. They are simply designed to get a champion snowballing and as it is typically too risky to use it in a PvP match it gets abused in Bot matches where there is no risk at all.

ew challenger janna with meljas... or lux or rzyra

meljas is an item used in build in higher tiers but on support build mostly

I understand that, but I am not in challenger, heck I am not even in bronze XD. All I am saying is people abuse the items in an environment where there is no risk.

Yup, simple fix: Make doom bots an official game mode.

I can just imagine an Azir Doom Bot.........the legions......the carnage....
