Pre-Season 9 = Season 8 2.0
Just got done playing the PBE, and everything is still the exact same as Season 8. You can win lane, you can win 2 lanes, you can win 2 lanes and stomp enemy jungler, but you still lose because your team dies way too quickly. Everyone is still a smurf in games. What i mean by this, is that everyone is doing damage like that of a smurf. Where season 7 and before, smurfs would be getting 7+ kills within 15 minutes. This season bronze/silver/gold/plat/diamond players are all getting 7+ kill in 15 minutes despite them not even being good at league.
I know people are going to say "Oh its only PBE, dont worry about it", let me just say this. Last pre season about 1 month in, I talked about how damage was too high, games were too coin flippy, and skill isnt required anymore. Everyone said, "Its only PBE, ofc its not going to be like this when the season actually starts." Fast forward a year, and all those things I said before still apply. Never have I ever seen so many people argue about the state League is in either. Back then, I could carry in silver elo even if i had 2 afk team mates because I was a diamond elo player smurfing. This season, I cant even win 5v5 even when I stomp my lane, mid lane, and enemy jungler. It doesnt matter anymore. If Season 9 still requires no skill and I see bronze players making it to plat within 3 weeks even tho they still have bronze mechanics, then im done with league.
^This right here is what is making coin flip games even worse. The fact that low elo players are making it to plat, even tho their mechanics arent even that of a plat players, makes winning almost 100% RNG based. The fact that getting 5 cs/m can carry games today. The fact that roaming > farming/dominating lane. The fact that Jungling has become a safe haven due to health gain on smite pushing away strategical paths. Its really pushing people away from this game, when learning the game is taken away to just fighting. The game is just a giant CoD with CSGO chickens running around (Minions). Minions dont even matter anymore, I cant tell you how many times this season I have gotten 12+ cs/m and still unable to contribute anything to team fights because of how fed one of the enemy players is. Actually sad how bad this game has gotten.
