MMR Frustrations

I will preface this by saying that I agree with the model that Riot has towards mmr in ranked, and that I do know that I have no proof of anything so I'm not looking for an apology/compensation but what happened really irks me.

A few games ago I got into champ select, and our support who was 2nd to last pick apparently wanted mid. So he asked the player who was granted mid lane, 1st pick, if they could swap. Our midlaner did not respond, and our support began aggressively asking for mid lane. Our toplaner offered to switch but he said he could only mid lane. When mid was already locked in and it was his turn to pick support, he locked in LeBlanc and insisted that he was going to feed. 12 kills was the number he specified. So before champ select ended I dodged. I figured losing the 3 lp and waiting 5 ish minutes was worth missing out on a 20+ minute game where I would lose ~19 lp. I had been in good standing for Silver 2, as I was previously in Gold 3, so I was gaining 22-25 lp per win and losing 18-19 per loss. I could only play one game that night so I would rather had not spent it with a troll. After winning and losing a few games after dodging I realized that my mmr had tanked. I am now only gaining 19-20 per win and losing 18-19 per loss.

Like I said up top, I'm not asking Riot to fix my mmr (or any other form of compensation for that matter), just could there be a system put in where if you dodge a game for a reasonable cause you can have a way so that your mmr doesn't get tanked? Like maybe submit a support ticket with proof attached by screen shots or a video with clear evidence that there was no malicious intent behind dodging. That you were doing something for the other 3 non-trolls on your team, by hopefully getting them out of that game with the troll. While I am a little salty that my mmr is now trash compared to before, the only thing keeping me sane is the fact that I potentially save 3 other peoples win streaks/promos/mmr/their night.

Rant over.

You don't lose mmr for dodging games, which for some is more important than the lp aspect.

I would believe that if I hadn't have had a previous 4 game loss streak which didn't tank my mmr shortly after the new season. But it doesn't really matter all that much to me, I just needed to vent a little.

Yeah, that you don't lose MMR for dodging is explicitly pointed out in a few support articles (as well as to avoid trolly shenanigans where people whose 'true' mmr is high dodge a bunch to hang around in low mmr stomping).

Exactly how harsh the mmr tankage is after loss streaks can vary, since occasionally you can find yourself in/against teams of higher/lower average mmr then you which will have different effects then if you were just facing equal mmr opponents (which would normally be the case if everyone solo'd, but premades complicate things, even if you personally always solo since you can be the 5th person sometimes).

Still, it feels bad sometimes to be cruising along getting +25/game and then suddenly be down to +18 or similar. You're still a lot better off than some folks who show up complaining that the system is unfair since they gain +10 but lose 20 (due to their abysmal mmr), so at least you're in the roughly fair gains=losses zone.
