It's purple on the lifebar like black shield and negates only magic damage Therefore it should make him immune to CC too

Hexdrinker/Maw of Malmortius also give a purple shield. Purple shield doesn't mean it negates CC/spell effects, it means it blocks magic damage. Morgana's specifically blocks those effects.

Also, you wouldn't want Kassadin with personal CC immunity unless you play him.

CC immunity on Kassadin? Do you remember what it was like before they broke his legs? They didn't bench him like they did Cassiopeia, the fires of Kassadin hell are on the other side of a plywood door. But, to be fair, he has the shittiest kit in the world to balance.

If the OP is saying that the shield should block cc because it's the same nice purple color of Morgana's shield, I can't say I didn't expect the same thing. There are only like three spell shields in the game. But that is a somewhat unclearly defined spell property, not a property that any normal shield should have.

No. A champion with flash on a 1 second cd and massive burst does not need cc immunity. Kassadin is balanced on the tip of a needle right now and literally increasing his base ad by 1 will make him op.

So anyone who takes hexdrinker should be CC immune? Fuck no. Terrible idea.
