so i'm playing ranked and got a little win streak of 7 games. promo time.

BOOM!

unranked adc with 0-5 ranked win loss fresh outta placement support, on a 5 game losing streak. and as I was expecting, got shit on hardcore.

no worries, still got one more chance for promo. and then this happens:

PLZ FKING FIX THIS FKING BS!! THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED. The more you win, the trashier players matchmaking throws at you. How the fk are you supposed to climb this shit fest?

Matchmaking teams you up with players of similar skill levels? MY FAT SMELLY SHIT STAINED HAIRY ASS!

My favorite is the adc who goes 0-5/1-5 in laning phase, wanders around solo after laning phase and gives away kills, and blames everyone but themselves. (Had a MF adc who did this yesterday)

Iv had matches where we had a player with a 78% win rate grouped with a duo bot lane with a 8% win rate.

LCS players could not have won that match.

Its like the system wants you to win one, lose one, win one, lose one. If you have a winning streak it will MAKE SURE you have a losing streak

worse part is....you can't get to promo series without getting 3-4 win streak. and we all know what happens then. chances to get a bad player in team are increased exponentially :| this system feels like, is designed to keep u in this pathetic cycle

that's how matchmaking works.. It tries to put you into games that it thinks you have a 50% chance of winning. The worse your teamates are in comparison to the enemy the more mmr and lp you gain. The only way to progress in ranked is to win matches that are stacked against you and the more you win the more the system acknowledges that you deserve to be higher. You might have some unfortunate and nigh impossible to win games but you will have some games that will be free for you as well but if your rising a lot in a short period you will start getting harder to win games from time to time but this goes into another aspect, tilt, the harder you are to tilt and the more positive you are the more resistant you are to these things and the easier it is to climb. League is in someway almost as much about your heart and what it focuses on just as much as it is mental. Because if your heart is set on blaming your team when the system is giving you games where it's giving you worse teamates because it expects you to carry you won't be able to use your brain to actually carry like you possibly could be doing if you were focusing on yourself.

Edit: the league system gives like 45-55% chance to win and will at times expect you to carry or do better for you to win but the harder the games are to win the more LP and mmr you gain and the less you lose.

I dunno, last season this wasn't the case for me. I haven't played enough ranked games this season yet to know, but in my experience I would go on a 3-5 game win streak, then I would lose 1 game, and then go back on a win streak. Sometimes, I would go W/L/W/L and rarely I would have two losses back to back.

The best advice I can give you is that if you're serious about climbing, then limit the amount of games you are playing. If you lose a game, then don't play anymore ranked that day. Using this strategy, it only takes me 10-13 games to get through a single division. It took me about 40 games to go from where I was placed last season (Bronze 3) to silver 5. Compare that to people who spam ranked games and they might stay in the same division for 100 games. And, by doing so, it actually takes them magnitudes longer (in terms of days) to rank up a single division.

I usually play normal's with a group of friends which is why I hardly play ranked, but so far, my strategy seems to be extremely effective at avoiding the cancer you are talking about.
