Dedenne or teemo!
In terms of gameplay and looks, I’m gonna give it to Ornn. New brittle mechanic is great for CC, able to buy items in lane, item upgrades in shop, and dat ult
Ornn for appearance, Kayn for kit. Year was a bit too anime for me overall, although the reworks were good.
If you out Zoe's balance nightmare, they were all good designs. On the great side was Kayn, Rakan and Ornn, though in differents ways.
has it be it, barely beating out
and it think the only reason i put her ahead of the tie with him was the lore update that came with her release) ( i mean sure, having
breaks her but that's not her fault)
has too many dashes at too long of range
is too versatile to with in any situation, and completely fucks ever warding properly, and shadows assassins is too strong, and is WAY too mobile, IMO the worst release balance wise
basically everything wrong with mid
but on steroids, and with cc, if ne1 came close to being as bad a
she did.. and almost beat him out too.
actually is a damn good release, i cant lie, if
wasn't here he would be my best release of the year, really not sure why they removed unstoppable... he just needed a nerf to the fire breath and possibly the shield.. but he was fantastically done, very hard to choose between xayah and him.

You know Kayn has like a 48% winrate right. He's strong post transform but he has to be because his early game is horrendously bad.

his early game may be bad... but its not like u can really abuse it to head a lead.
she isnt FORCED one way or the other he can pick no matter what, he only get a delay.
and sure u can invade him but then he just walk through the wall and can easily smite contest the camp u are trying to steal from inside the wall.
and he is a pain in the ass to try to bring down. even playing
with a 3 second cc it normally takes 2-3 teammates to also try to burst her down or CC him more before he can escape. once he transforms he is relevant... not matter how much you shut him down earlier. and i have literally seen videos where he comes out of walls presses Q once instantly kills 2 and the other two he autos once. granted those are extreme cases. he is just a bad design, to have to face.
i mean certain champions in general have a fantastic design and would be very fun to play but are incredibly toxic to face a champ needs to be fun to FACE as well as play... this is one of the biggest issue people like certianT have.. they might make amazing champsions that are incrediable fun to PLAY.. but as this is a pvp game.. people have to FACE them too.. and therefore that champion in a bad design. and would go much better in a PVE game like "diablo" rather than league
Examples include
(again after the rework revert, although during the rework she was fun to fight)
Zoe is retarded for obvious reasons Kayn is an annoying assassin that ignores warding Xayah is decent but imo not interesting enough (especially the gimmicks with Rakan)
I feel like they could have made much more powerful gimmicks for Xayah and Rakan in exchange for some stats when the two are played together (they're lovers so the distract each other or something) so it's not too OP.
Orrn I just hate cause he's a tank with high damage, but I like the buying from lane thing.
Rakan is a general joy to play, has interesting mechanics, and hitting his Q is satisfying af so he's my favorite.

It's between Rakan, Xayah, and Zoe. Leaning a bit towards Zoe. People are gonna front on her because Riot wasn't quick enough to handle her balance situation, but as far as being a dynamic champion with weaknesses and drawbacks Zoe is my pick.
GoatDaD. All the way
I would have to say Kayn for the sheer fact of how interesting he is and how versatile he can be.
Best part about his is that he can adapt to what your team needs and make picks based on the most beneficial choice.
Your team needs a tanky bruiser that can still dish out some decent damage while shredding tanks? Go Rhaast.
Your team needs some extra burst damage to take out a pesky target? Go shadow?
They have a tank top, tank support, tank jungle? Rhaast.
They have no tanks (I don't see why this would happen in most cases judging on how important tanks are but okay). Shadow.
Also he's extreemly edgy and I like edgy things as evidence by Pyke

this is what makes him an issue though.. he flat out has an answer for anything you can throw at him. and is why i put him as the worst designed on the list, because regardless of how fun he is he lacks counterplay. and not having that is a horrible champion design. he literally screams of "certainT" and has nearly the exact same issue
and
have... and that is... lack of available counter to do anything at all to stop them.
Well, I can see the Issues that this could present, but the difference between Kayn and the others is that there is a bit of counterplay available to him (I can tell this is going to boil into a bit of a debate, lets try to keep it civil though? Thanks)
Kayn suffers from a below average Early game, while his clear is good with how he can start raptors, He lacks a passive that helps him in combat, Making it so that any Nunu, Shaco or Lee sin could invade him and take him out.
Also, While Rhaast May be fairly tanky and provides good Crowd control, he isn't as Tanky as someone like Nasus or Illoai (I get that they aren't considered full blown tanks, but you get my point right?) Usually opting into some more aggressive options.
I don't want to say 'Just cc him in a fight', because thats too easy, but it certainly is a weakness of his that should be noted.
Something I will agree on is that he does lack counterplea IF he snowballs, A far enough ahead Shadow assassin or Rhaast is SCARY and bordering unstoppable, but he is an assassin, so he should lean that way, but its just too much.
On the contrary, If he gets shut down, he becomes much less effective, especially if he goes through with going shadow assassin, so thats a bit of conterplay, shut him down early, countersinking is also a good option.
I would have given it to Ornn (I saw you like him aswell), But he just got ruined by being overbuffed, then promptly overnerfed, so he would go second.
Truth be told, None of the champions from 2018 were Superb imo, they all had a major glaring issue at some point in time, Kayn has just been my favourite to play (Ignore the lvl 7 Ornn), so I guess I'm just being bias?
