PLaying a mage from early 2015 to now
I only started playing league since Rek'sai came out, so I never played in the "golden age of mages" (Season 3 or 4?), so I never knew about DFG or how it was like to play a mage back then.
I am going to talk about it from the perspective of me playing
from early 2015 to early 2016
Before they reduced the amount of AP AP items give, I felt was dealing damage with her was extremely easy, and could kill someone at ~45% health if they came within range of my ult. After the nerf on the AP items, it was a little more challenging because I had to get a another AP source (part of an item) after my first item to pull it off, which wasn't too bad, and back then I would never go on a mini-tilt as soon as I knew I had to lane against
or
, and laning against them wasnt too bad. (
will never stop being annoying to me)
During the ADC update patch is where things started to become more frustrating. Laning against against an AP wasn't too bad because both of us had to deal with the same issues. Laning against an AD became more frustrating. I had to spam my skills forever to chunk their health down, only to wait for them to life-steal all of it back because of the new mastery (especially this little shit
) and once they build
I basically had to quit lane and roam (with
, roaming is painful). Even though I rush
, its only useful against the AD champs if I'm under tower, as they'll just wait out the invincibility and right click me.
Please, if you guys are going to give AD Champions a keystone mastery just for them, can we Mages get one as well ? Heck, the only keystone masteries for AP champions are DFT and Thunderlord's while AD can use all of those and three more. I don't care if its offensive or defensive. As for items, even reverting the nerfs over the year will put them on par with the AD items ATM (I think).
Thank you to any one for taking time to read this
P.S. I hate
