why are people defending veigars' state right now??

i dont get it. even my diamond friend says that he is free elo in soloq -his q is now a skillshot wich is way more dangerous than his old q you can cast it into bushes, has a really high missle speed and it can hit up to 2 people. if you land your stund its not really a skillshot anymore. -his w is fine but scales too much into latgame. if you hit your stun its not a skillshot anymore -his e is too fast and forces you to stay in this fkn cage or you will get stunned and killed. (yeah not every champ can go out of the cage without getting stunned) -his ult.. nothing to say there. just a huge pile of nutella. its also really rude i mean for example: im a plat IV player and veigar is like silver III and he presses r on me and im dead and writes stuff like "gg ebay plat get rekt". where is the skillcap? ps: just because veigar was "weak" after his rework its not a reason to let him be how he is. /discuss

tell me, why do you want veigar out of your games so badly? its never overbearing to lose to the 40minute veigar because it just raises the question what did you choose to do instead in the first 20minutes of the game? passive farm?

and even in the 40min case, hook, poke, banshees, QSS, merc treds, GA, hard counterpicks like galio, malz, swain, brand.... there are so many things and ways to deal with late game veigar, most of which say "you should go in now and apply any shred of CC to veigar and its a won team fight"

So, you're saying to just stop him from farming, beat him in lane. Veigar takes flask + 3, teleport, and farms from 950 range. He doesn't have mobility, true. He does have a large AOE stun / zoning tool.

Late game counters to Veigar include... cc'ing him? Making a pick? That seems pretty universal for most champions, pretty weak for counterplay. Now, assuming that veigar for some reason misses his point + click ult, which is his main burst. He still has 160% AP scaling on multi - target abilities. And a large, AOE stun, that scales up to 2.5s. Even if he completely misses his stun, it still zones.

The boards refuse to admit they're wrong. They kept QQ'ing for Veigar buffs, and now that he's been overbuffed, people refuse to admit it.

Last time I checked Veigar doesn't have a 950 range aa, and he still has to get somewhat close to a minion to hit it with his q. Also 160% AP scaling?? Did I miss the patch notes or something? Veigar item 3070

950 range on Q to last hit minions he means, which is technically how Veigar wants to farm. 160% AP scaling on the rest of his abilities since he's assuming he 'missed' his ult...I assume he meant mis-targeted or it got Bveil'd or something. Dark matter is 100% and Baleful Strike is 60%.

if any veigar starts flask you push him in and he cant farm at all, let alone Q every minion, + he'll be out of mana if he doesnt start a dorans. you dont need to kill him or force him out (but you can easily zone him) in the early game. anyone level 3 is stronger and practically deadly to veigar.

and late game veigar gets destroyed by banshees or GA, wow veigar good job, blew your whole kit to pop someones GA. at which point its a 4v4, and veigar is now prime target at that range its a full on fight, or yet again, veigar got the initiation/team follow up he needs, at which point late game veigar does have the distinct advantage and has earned it.

i can not team fight, or teach you how to do it. but there are distinct ways to get the win against ANY veigar REGARDLESS of farm.

I disagree. Veigar needs the power he has because he has no mobility, and they made his already difficult cc even harder to use.

I agree his damage is insane...but that's actually all he has. Zed blows up tanks about the same rate, no one seems to care there. Nasus can go pure tank and use his damage on champions AND towers. No one cares there. (In this case, because he is melee with low mobility, so whatever. Zed still needs to be looked at before veig)

I agree, but nasus stacks 3 damage at a time, not 1, and by building tank can make up for the melee. The cc used to be hard favoring to veigar, but its much closer now. Veigar has zoning, nasus has pushing. Veigar (generally) deletes one champ, then runs/dies. Nasus can delete someone while lifestealing to full and keep going.

I HAVE shut down nasus. Teemo v Nasus, blind keeps him down to under 50 stacks by 10 minutes. Nasus split push to win because by the end of the game (40+ minutes), he could solo any 2 of use, and stopping him meant losing towers and objectives elsewhere.

Split pushing is actually strong right now, if your comp is able to utilize it. Its simply a matter of forcing your opponent to make one of two bad decisions.

Nasus, with his single target damage, with weak cc, from melee range; compared to Veigar's multi target stun, ranged AOE damage, and large single target nuke?

Zed can 1v1 tanks also, but he doesn't chunk people for half their health with a W, or have large CC potential.

My Nasus response is above, replied to HaiLnKill.

As far as Zed: No he doesnt kill people with one ability - but veigar normally needs more than one as well. He has much less cc (a slow instead of a stun) but that is much easier to hit. Zed also has an on command flash, can hit up to two times with every ability, and an ult he can immediatly blink away from the target of after use. Zeds Mobility and burst potential is what puts him over Veigar. If pure damage won games over mobility, the meta would be vastly different than it is.

Veigar is perfectly balanced. I may main Veigar but that doesn't mean I'm biased towards who he is and what he is meant to be. Veigar is a BURST Mage, this being said it would fit his role if he could burst someone down. Syndra, Xerath, Viktor, are other burst mages with just as hard of a skill cap, and if anything are more op than Veigar. Being a burst Mage, he is easily countered. People of lower Elo tend to play with a more passive play style OR dive in and make tons of mistakes. Burst mages prioritize their enemy's mistakes. Veigar throughout the entire game has low health, with the exception of crystal scepter. This being said if, ANY FOR ON CC IS APPLIED TO HIM HE WILL DIE. Thresh hook, dead, blitz pull, dead. He and other farm oriented/ stacking champions like Nasus have a weak and squishy early game like Veigar. And it should be no surprise that once he has stacked and achieved his purpose, he will kill people. I'm tired of seeing 12 year old kids complain about a champion being OP just because they saw him on the Lcs once. I remember when Veigar had his rework and people complained forever about how he is "useless"
