Bard ruins games.

Literally every Bard that I have played with or against ruins the game for either my team or the enemy by running around the entire map and not staying in lane with their adc. I have yet to see a Bard that stays in lane for more than 15 total minutes in a game. Instead they say for like the first 7 minutes then wander off to wherever the hell their chimes are all the way across the map when their adc is being harassed bot by the support and enemy adc and needs a health pack or a good stun for an escape. This is why I continuously ban Bard in ranked. I don't think newly released champs should be available in ranked for and extended time due to the fact people buy them and "first time" them in ranked and ruin the experience for everyone.

I think you miss the point of bard. He's not your standard support that baby sits the adc for the first 15 min of the game.

He's supposed to roam the map and assist the entire team, almost like a secondary jungler.

If you have a bard, pick an adc that can do fine in a 2v1 situation like cait, lucian, ezreal, or graves.

The one thing I will say about Bard:

A while back, people were asking if Blitzcrank's grab could be used similarly to Pudge's grab in Dota; on friendly champions.

Riot nixed this idea, mostly, because it could create a toxic situation where a teammate could screw his teammate over by grabbing him to death or away from a kill.

Then they release Bard who can literally stun (stasis) his teammate when he's running away with his ultimate haha.

That part of Bard's kit I do not understand.

But yes, overall, he's really bad right now. I believe they have buffs on the PBE for him.

I've realized something.

I read complaints like this about Bard. Then I watch LoL videos where a Bard gets 2 easy picks against the enemy team. Then I play with someone who chose Bard, and he turns a bad situation with free a kill or two for the enemy team into a 3 for 2 with shutdowns in our favor.

Bard isn't a terrible champion. Bard just demonstrates how bad the players are by giving them instructions more complicated than "mash R, W, Q, E for a kill" or "right click a lot".

Its mostly cause ADCs are used to being literally babysitted for the 1st 15 minutes, having to change their own diapers and actually paying attention to the minimap is too much for them to handle. Meanwhile every other lane does fine by themselves and has the sense to call for help politely when they get into a rough patch, rather than demand and expect assistance in lane and expect to get all the kills from that assistance.

For a long time, to me, ADCs have been the bratty little self-entitled children of the rift that need to be constantly watched and fed for them to not start complaining about "no ganks", "no peels", "kill steal"; if they cannot adapt to a different style of play, than as players they're just bad. Bard is a step away from traditional support, or "the babysitter" towards a slightly older and more dynamic role that is felt all throughout the game "The team player". This older style does have a higher skillcap and Bard players need to practice to get good and the only way to get good realistically is you play normal queue atleast and deal with possible bad matchups.

Problem is only Ezreal can really handle being alone in lane for any amount of time, and that's only on occasion.
