Why is the LolSkill website so weird on their rankings?

Some guy with a bad name is rated as the "894th best Warwick in the world".

His stats are:

2/11 Win/Loss (15.4%) 5.5(-1.9)/8.1(+1.5)/5.2(-2.7) K/D/A (Versus the average Warwick player) 172 (+119) Minions 10,703 (-1033) Gold Earned

LolSkill says he has performed 7.2% better than the average Warwick player.

My stats on Warwick are:

31/36 Win/Loss (46.3%) 9.9(+2.6)/8.4(+1.9)/8.9(+1.0) K/D/A (Versus the average Warwick player) 36 (-17) Minions (It doesn't count jungle monsters and I don't really get a lot of minion kills because I go to lanes to gank, not farm minions) 12,793 (+1057) Gold Earned

LolSkill says I perform 3.8% better than the average Warwick player.

I know I am not a great player, but how can someone THAT BAD at Warwick be considered to be better than average when the only thing he does is get minions. It's not like he is even doing great at getting minions, because if he was his gold earned would be higher.

just proves how unreliable the site is.

Probably because the site is privately owned and not connected to LoL at all, so the stats aren't entirely reliable.

Well, I understand it is not entirely reliable, but you would think that they would be able to do something decent with the stats available. I worked on the WNX formula for World of Tanks for a couple years as a contributor and we did a damn good job for the information we were given by Wargaming. It wasn't perfect, but it was a heck of a lot better than LolSkill's website!

They may not put in the same effort. I hadn't heard of LoLSkill prior to this thread, not the most popular site.

It's probably because his scores are against far higher rated opponents than the people your scores are against.

Odd, because if you put me against that competition I could have just as bad of scores...

They use rank as a huge measurement of skill.

Point is, just because you are a Challenger doesn't mean you automatically deserve to be ranked as one of the top players on a particular champion, especially if there is empirical evidence that you are absolute trash on that champion. So yes, their website sucks.

Wow... apparently I perform 43.7% better at Zed than the average Zed player.

My Zed SUCKS. I've lost like the last 7 games playing him in Normals.

And my Viktor, which has a much higher KDA and CS overall in Normals is only 11.7% better?

What the...
