These Shen nerfs seem a tad over the top. He was recently nerfed too.

His Q is his main source of damage and power in lane. I don't see anyone saying Shen is too strong.

Nerfing him for competitive I suppose makes sense, but why his damage which is already bad? Shouldn't they be nerfing his ult (which is the sole reason he's played)?

Exactly!

Doesn't matter, he's played in lcs, he does decent, he's getting nerfed.

So sad... I wish he had his old passive over this new one too.

As a support, I miss old Shen. Though his shield and passive we're super impactful, the heal off his Q was great for keeping an ADC at full, while still having plenty of engage potential.

He's permabanned in the LCS. Not sure if they're hitting the right part of his kit with the change though; his Q isn't all that strong as is without being empowered. I'd rather see them nerf the empowered bonus from 2% to 1.5% or so, so it doesn't hit his damage to objectives.

His laning is pretty good early on at levels 3-5, because his taunt -> Q +3 autos can do a sizable amount of damage to squishier characters, but it's not like other characters can't do the same, and taunt range is pretty short, so he can't even engage on anyone ranged. He also has no sustain, so he can get poked down over time.

He's already sort of shit in the 1v1 if he isn't ahead, and relies on his ability to affect the map with his ult to get his team ahead.

Something like nerfing his ult shield at ranks 2 and 3, or increasing the teleport time/reducing the shield duration would probably make for a better change.
