Let's talk about Azir's ult, particularly regarding the choice of wording and the definitions of some of those words.

Azir's tooltip for Emperor's Divide states: "...When the soldiers finish their charge, they stand as a wall, blocking enemy champion movement and dashes..."

It has been documented and is relatively well known that many of the skills labeled under the "dashes" page in the lolwiki can pass through Azir's ultimate. Hecarim and Maokai are the most common two, and the first two that come to mind given their relatively high pick rates in the current meta. I know that there are others who can "dash" through Azir's wall, and there are several videos on youtube that detail each case, but I'm simply trying to raise general awareness at this moment.

Riot, what are your plans regarding Azir at this moment? Are you working on fixing a lot of the bugs that he has working against him? Are you working on him at all? I'd really like him to not be like Quinn, who went two years without bugfixes, and is just now getting the love she needs and deserves to be a decent pick again. (Great job on those fixes, btw).

Azir's wall knocks back any dashes through it. This is a CC

Hecarim's ult makes him immune to CC Moa is untargetable while he uses his dash(thus immune to CC too).

Azir's wall is working fine in these cases.

Like "immune to CC" abilities constantly ignoring CC?

You're asking for your wall to break other champions abilities.

If anything it should reword itself to state it will knock champions through it back. Letting you know that it is a form of CC.

Perhaps the knock-back won't effect them but it still won't let them pass, similar to how you can't pass the edge of the map with a dash, so you can't be peeled off him.

It's just a normal wall like Anivia's with a situational CC.

Nothing wrong with it having some counterplay in picks. It's a powerful ultimate. It just needs better wording.

Okay, let's give other examples then.

J4's ult can be stopped by CC, but can still pass through Azir wall. It is classified as a dash. I'm pretty sure Noct's R dash can be stopped by CC too, but it still goes through Azir wall. Also classified as a dash.

J4's ult actually does make him immune while leaping. It just fails to state it. Nocturne is the same way.

I think it was half way through last season Riot decided that a bunch of dash ults needed CC immunity. This is when J4 and Nocturne were weaker picks. Although Nocturne isn't in the best spot still.

Also all of these effects only make them continue their action through CC. if there is any CC that hit them, it'll stay the full duration. So if their ult ends before the CC, they'll get CC'd. Although probably only for a brief duration.

Actually, he can be CC'd at the very last instant of his jump, before the terrain is formed. Literally just saw it today; go check out Pink Ward's Shaco top guide. At some point, a J4 gets feared mid-ult-leap.

I know I've seen a Noct get flayed out of his dash before too.

These CC immune ults are not actually a cleanse. They just don't stop the ult from going off. The CC is still on them and they will be effected by it for whatever duration remains after their immunity runs out. In case of Shaco's fear, he'd probably get CC'd right as he lands, thus still effected by most of the CC's duration.

As for Nocturne getting flayed, it was probably a similar case. Just happening right at the end. Otherwise likely a bug.

I know Anivia can disrupt this immunity with her well too. Unsure if it is still there or easily recreated.
