This is why I don't play top lane.

In champ select top lane asks if he can support so he can duo with his buddy. I'm like sure. So I end up playing Garen vs Maokai .

I have a pretty big CS lead. Maokai tries to TP bot for a 4v2 but I silence him just in the nick of time. I look to see if I can try to TP now but our Duo bot is getting destroyed by UNDAMAGED Xayah and Thresh - I have no kill power against those champs at full health. It would have been 2 kills or more given up if i wasn't aware that their top was looking to TP. They actually yell at me for being worthless and not TP bot. Pretty hilarious if you ask me. I main support and I never ask top to TP or get mad if he doesn't - esp if we were losing lane. I'll just stick to bot lane where I can actually make a difference. There is nothing you can do in a game where you bot lane is trash and you are top.

I only play trynd top and I only tp if its a guarenteed kill. TP should not be relied on for clutch situations.

i dont think its worth running tp on garen, unless youre in a really shitty matchup and need the tp as a safety net under pressure to buy and get back to lane.

otherwise, its worth more running ignite.

your tp ganks arent great anyways. in your situation you might have been able to use the window of opportunity and get the kill on that mao with ignite and then salvage turret first blood out of the entire situation.

maokai is a matchup that you should be able to control with ignite.

U pick one of worst pick in the game XD u don't pick Garen to tp bot to begin... his tp is all but gamebreaker.

But yeah, if u bot is trash its over most of time unless u can snowball... but going against any tank is like a no lane, u won't kill him, but he won't either.

I'm also a support main but before I mained support I was a toplane Gnar main.

I still occasionally go toplane and I will NOT tp unless I'm sure we can win the fight if I do. And if the enemy botlane is already so fed before I can tp I won't go bot anymore.

The point of my tp is to come secure a kill or objective we know we can get, not kill myself or put myself behind so you can maybe get a kill against a fed laner. People don't realize that it's risky and if you don't get something out of it, you're down a tp and you're losing a lot of experience and cs.

If it's any consolation, the same thing happens to me when I'm adc and our top goes 0/9. Lol.

Agreed. I've honestly debate playing a support top lane when I'm autofilled cause at least then someone might be able to actually support later in the game if necessary.

Also, whenever I get autofilled top, my jungler ignores me, but when I'm support/ADC/mid, my jungler camps top. I can understand that my jungler might figure, since this isn't my main role, that I can't carry. Which I understand. What I don't understand is why junglers don't see an over extended lane and think, "hmm, a half health enemy sitting under our tower, I can gank that."

Had a game when I was practicing top, blew my laners flash, froze the wave outside my tower, and asked for a gank cause they guy kept kiting me when I tried to kill him. Literally said, "lane is pushing to me, he'll be overextended, no flash, easy gank." Took my jungler 8 minutes before he came top to gank, enemy flashed, and I get spammed ? pinged along with "YOU SAID HE HAD NO FLASH".

Second game practicing top, jungler comes top, ganks, blew enemy flash, enemy jungler shows up, and my jungler gets a double kill. He then proceeds to ignore me top lane despite me freezing the lane on my side of the map. I even got tower dove 3 times by the enemy jungler. What is this. It's like, "Dear jungler, we got a double when you came up here once. Come again, get another free kill since he's over extended, and help me take their tower." This isn't that hard of a concept.
