He used to be one of my best champs but now he is absolute trash tier. Did he really need those nerfs last season? I think he lost something like 15 base armor. For a champion that has a difficult engage mechanic and every champ is able to escape his ult with some sort of skill based escape (some can even stun him on it) shouldn't he have really high defensive stats?
Agreed. But this disgusting anti-monarchical society we live in will never empower a sovereign ruler! The world must be changed for him to be embraced and worshiped!
Disagree. Insanely good jungler, straight bully in lane. Maybe you're just not good at him.
jarvans problem is that he has a terrible kit for fighting and the only two things he can do is assassinate or lock down. both of these skills are good for a jungler but since his fighting is so absurdely weak, he always gets bullied easily and he has no chance to fight off counterganks.
also, neither is damage nor his reliability are top tier so all he has is mediocre abilities that dont give him what junglers need. last but not least, he clears like a fucking snail.
He used to have super high defensive stats. It was to op so riot removed it. On another note though I don't think he is trash but I only take J4 mid lane and build him straight up assassin. Who cares if they can escape your ult when they are dead. Sometimes when I play assassin J4 I even miss my E-Q combo but still end up with the kill with just R+AA+Ignite. I've never lacked Tank J4 because I think the utlity and CC he brings to a fight is horrible and lackluster compared to other champs who can be built full tank. Bruiser/off-tank or all assassin is the only way to play J4. It is also probably the most fun way to play him as well.
I think if a buff is in order, it should go the opposite way; J4 has an astonishingly high average amount of assists and doesn't die very much at all. On the other hand, his gold potential, damage, and kills (though this may be because Jungle) are pretty below average, which is odd for a Dive Fighter. Might I suggest light buffs to his offensive scaling?
That and making his ultimate actually impassable.
