how do you play anivia?

im looking for tips to play as anivia, i really like the champion but i feel im not playing her well. i feel like im completely useless until my Roa is fully stacked and i have my archangels. for runes i run arcane comet, mana flow, transcendence and gathering storm in the sorcery and biscuits and boots in the other. i also find it very hard to farm with autos and to even land a q most of the time is difficult.

For farming, go in the practice tool mode, lock your experience level and try to ce without an opponent(also without abilities). Her base AD is so low, anyone needs this practice on her. Your runes are fine, although remember that her secondary rune page is quite flexible. She is really useless when she doesn’t have a tear at least half-stacked and her ult. However, she should win most trades early if you can land q-auto-e-auto. Liandre's Tormentitem 3151 is strong on her and should ideally be her 3 item. For boots, I recommend item 3020 most of the time. Once a champion is on top of you, other boots won’t save you. It’s better to have already killed him before he gets there. Try to keep your mid turret as healthy as possible throughout the early landing phase. Her roams aren’t the best, but if you are ahead, top lane should be your gank priority. Fighting in a jungle corridor makes Anivia op, as she can zone the whole path and isolate the tanks. With your wall and ultimate, you need to try to get picks in the late game.

You rarely are able to hit qs by itself. Usually you need to pair it with your w, and your r slow. Anivia wall is really good btw ^_^ sets up so many plays, and messes with ppl’s pathing making for easy qs unless they are fast enough.

Yeah this.. Most anivia players that want to land q starts off with ult, w at a slight angle so that the player autopaths in a way that you want them to. Then Q and E

OP just has to be aware that the champion has very steep mana costs so unlike Orianna youll be deciding if spending mana to trade or push is really worth it

Theres also well, terrible matchups like leblanc where you probably are going to double tap Q in quick succession so its better to take electrocute and barrier so you can actually retaliate

Your not really supposed to try fighting a Leblanc as the chance of you landing a q is well nigh 0. Just push the wave and hope you survive. Besides there’s worser matchups like kass where you can’t even push.
