So with all the outrage going on Boards with Riot's latest changes...

... what's next for the community? Continue ranting/blaming without end? Hoping, by some chance Riot hears us or tries to listen? Waiting for another streak of changes that (hopefully) adress what the Boards have been calling Riot upon?

I mean, come on. The circlejerk can continue to literally "infinity and beyond". We can rant all we want. We can whine all we want. Call Riot on the bad/terrible decisions made to League. Belittle their design choices regarding champions/items/runes etc. Despise of the balance team. Trash talk them, berate, tell how incompetent, biased, ignorant or whatever else they are. This has been happening on a straight uprising for the last 2-3 seasons.

But as it stands in the end, it's all after Riot Games again. It's them who make these decisions regarding the game and we have utmost no control over what is going to happen next. Changes that make no sense/terrible balance-wise/absolutely horrid if not insane on paper again and again and again. "Change for the sake of change" philosophy.

Are we just going to rant for a while then get used to yet again another horrible change, accept the new game state and endure another broken season? The recent patch adressed mostly nothing and/or made every season 8 problem in League of Legends even worse. Season 9 will be mostly exactly the same. The game is turning into a comtetitive URF mode.

Like, what are we even supposed to do apart from endlessly ranting on Riot's behalf? The only thing that comes to mind is boycotting RP purchases, but boards is a minor part of a much larger community... ... I guess the game's state is going to pass this season. As it is. Yet again.

For the first time in my entire league career I see champions be literally dead data-wise. This is not just a temporary case here. Every single game or design - wise decision has led to this moment: where you see this. It has come to a point where third party sites (op gg here) cannot gather enough information about these champions because of how underplayed they are. Champions are literally left in the dust because they simply don't belong in today game's state. They can't keep up. I remember these two being played both in ranked and the competitive scene but never have I seen them be in this position. Thousands of people play ranked today and there's not even enough data for just TWO champions. And I'm not talking on behalf of these champions' mains or anything, I don't play them at all. But just the fact that THIS IS A THING makes me more than worried about game's state. So before you vote, remember: Every single game-wise decision has led to what you see in the pictures above

People will always complain to changes, just like they complained about Rune reforged, despite the fact this was ultimately way more healthy for the game and its player (new players no longer grind for runes and master they get them much faster).

Everyone who never played Aatrox and the three NA Aatrox players got made at the rework, even though it made him one of the best duelist in ths game.

This is preseason which means they take the thress months to see what works what needs tweaking.

Like right now Im not happy with how adcs are. They suck early-mid game, and i would.be lucky to make an impact in my game before 25 minutes.

This forum comprimises a fraction of the playerbase, all of whom are either adapting or learning new ways to play. To say Riot listens is hilarious.

(They hot fixed Dark Harvest HOURS after the patch dropped. They dont care right?).

This game has nearly 150 champione in the game, and have infinite amount of playstyles. You cant please everyone, they never will. A lot of still have fun though and im gonna keep trying new things (klepto lucian and Dark Harvest jhin is soooooooo satisfying).

This is not the same game from 2009. Some people dont like change. So this forum can be hard to pick out the pointless to the reasonable.

Riot does a really great job listening to fans and trying to improve the game, and i said before not everyone will be happy. But at least they are trying

I don't believe a word coming out of 99% of people on these forums anymore. Every time I see the hot page it's always idiots whining.

Turret plating's specifics were announced a while ago and everyone liked it. As soon as the kids got into a game and realized turret plating or not, they still suck, they go on forums and blame Riot and ask for a new balance team.

It's not Riot's fault that you suck. Just get good. When you make a post complaining about balance changes, I want to be able to go into your history and see 5-10 wins in a row where you carried.

That shows you actually know how to play but have real constructive feedback or simply don't like what you have to do to win.

For the most part the changes are super good and healthy for the game, but I think turrets are too squishy and they're not strong enough. They die way too fast, and I think minion buffs were enough without weakening turret defenses.

It seems odd to me that you're against the community speaking out about their feelings on what is likely their favorite game and something they invest a lot of time in.

Honestly, people are whining too much and always will. League isn't ruined. League isn't broken. Quit complaining. If it's that bad, uninstall league. If not, stop whining and get over it.

What else are we supposed to do but complain? Do we make organized protests of spamming Maple's and Meddler's twitter voicing our grievances? As much as I'd love to do that, mods would probably remove it in a heartbeat.

Not like there's much else to do but complain when the game is still shitty for the exact same reasons for the past 7 months.

And yes, the balance team should be removed from their position of doing game balance. They are not capable of their job.

The change for the sake of change philosophy HAS to (for lack of a better word) change from within Riot.

Though my biggest personal gripe is the broken honor system, people that duo/trio/etc. Just honor bump each other and there's no "extra" honor for being honored by a non-duo, stop giving me damn key fragments for it Riot, they're meaningless. I got chat restricted ONCE and yes that's on me. I will never get my border or any ranked rewards back at this rate.

we all know how much you love the game, and i love the game very much my self thats why i care about the game, sometimes i care too much, as much as you want the game to improve, the game wont improve if the game creators dont want to. just like parenting you can only do so much as a parent.however this just a game you can always move on to a new game, which something i will do no longer supporting this fail system doesn't change for the past how many years?

the main problem is that the community was hating on the ppl who alrdy said in season 5 that the game is going downhill. so riot continued. NOW more and more people start to complain but its 3 years too late. its the communities own fault. it will take a while for riot to listen and fix shit now BUT ONLY if the community doesnt stop complaining. if more and more ppl start to hate on the complainers again, the game will go downhill even harder.

This has been one of my biggest reasons for wanting to quit or not play that much anymore. To add to your point, it's true to fans don't really have a say in what riot does and if you need evidence of that go back to when zoe was first released and riot literally came out and said they don't take player concerns into consideration when working on balance. I have said it before and will say it again. Riot has left its player base behind and only cares about pro play.

I mean... Riot can't satisfy all of the people there are simply to many people playing this game.Pepole have different ideas, if a champion that you like gets nerfed because he was op nad now they become decent,there are people that will complain because there favorite champion just got nerfed, don't get me wrong there are some people that will be honest but they are the minority.Most of all tho I hate when people complain about how league of legends USED TO BE GOOD and that the game was fine as it was or as it is.The game must be updated, visually and gameplay wise I mean do You really prefer the old map from the new one? And when a change happens everyone get's crazy just how it was when the plants first appeared in the game everybody went bunkers with that even though they inpact that it had in the game was... Not that amazing I mean yes the jungler or one of the lanera can use healing fruit to there advantage (now that I think about it I rarely see people doing that xD) and somebody can use the bomb fruit to escape a difficult situation bat... Those are not that big of a deal.I get it it's naturall for humans to be afraid of change bat change is important for the game I mean not all of the changes are good and not all of the changes are bad, there are people complaining about how reworked irelia was op when she came out bat did you know that she got nerfed a bit almost immediately after release? Bat there are people saying "old irelia was just fine why make her stronger blah blah blah", I mean changes to champions don't happen just because they are wick or anything,they happen because the game needs to change for it to attract more attention and to keep there current players interested bat as it seems there are to many people afraid of change :/

The keyword here is 'try'. Riot games doesn't try. They move on to creating new broken content without ever addressing the past changes which people have been complaining about since eternity.

Akali's shroud is still broken, Le Blanc still needs a rework, and tower damage is still a joke.

Unless people refer to the -5 MS nerf on Irelia as a legit nerf, I refuse to why so many people even hit the first option on the pole there.

I am with you on boycotting the RP purchases. I was going to purchase a god staff Jax skin shortly but I've changed my mind on it as I am skeptical to whether I am going to stick around till next season. I suggest more people do the same and I sure hope they take this thread seriously.

You’re complaining about 2 champions out of 150-ish champions. That’s 1.3% of the possible champion pool. Corki has been in lane limbo for several seasons now, so why would anyone pick him if they are comfortable on him or if he’s out of the meta? And most people who play Voli, also main him. People who main jungle are typically full-meta or anti-meta, so Voli being neither of those puts him in about the same spot as Corki.

Not to mention this happens to a few champs every time a big patch hits, so this whole point in your arguement is just trying to blame because you want to complain.

Champions have been rated as "Dead" on OP.GG before, what you're saying about Corki and Volibear isn't a new feature of OP.GG. I believe Urgot, Yorick, Mordekaiser, Galio, Aatrox, Ivern, Skarner, Volibear, Udyr, and Nunu have all been rated as dead for one or more patches on OP.GG before now, and I haven't checked lately because I haven't played much. It's a sign that the champions aren't in a healthy position and likely that they aren't strong either, if they're being played infrequently enough that the little data on them is statistically insignificant to OP.GG, but that alone is not a large indicator of overall game health.

I saw the beginning of your post and I was thinking that while this is yet another “unhappy about the game post“, you at least bring up some truths which people tend to forget.

Then I saw your edit and that there was a vote...

The vote doesn't go your way with more people liking the changes, so you go out of your way by posting data which contains a miniscule part of what Lol actually is in order to get people to vote differently? Then why make a vote to begin with if you try to influence the outcome midway?

This just screams that you never cared about people's opinions to begin with.

I think it's absolutely okay to continue to want to enjoy the game despite these changes. I think it's okay to expect better from Riot. But at some point, I feel like it's time to give up. Either on caring or playing the game. If people supposedly hate the game as much as they do it would seem like the game should be dead by now. I don't know if it's about having a better attitude or people just continuing to play against their best interests, but I think people ought to stick to their word. To keep supporting a game you supposedly hate makes no sense to me, especially when there's so much else to be enjoyed. It doesn't mean someone ought to swear off league for the rest of their lives, but I think some people could do with taking a break, at least.

Kinda a weird idea for people that hate what the game is or is becoming or whatever. Make your own game, and like that is normally a garbo argument but correct me if im wrong but that was how Riot Games got founded right? Like League was made by people who wanted a continuously updated game. So do a riot games and make the kind of game you want to play. Duh it is easier said than done but it seems at least the boards community really doesnt like the philosophy of a constantly changing game. That the goal of the boards is a perfectly balanced unchanging game, which is fine but i dont think league will ever be that.

I used to main Volibear since release .Over time you just can't keep up. Always wished they would buff or improve in any way. I remember when I heard they buffed his e I was surprised but that was about a year ago ,maybe? This is irrelevant but Riot doesn't have that much merch for him or nothing at all, I may be wrong but I haven't seen any :( . I wished maybe a new skin but I'm asking too much.
