Why do you play?

Been thinking a lot lately about why it is that I play certain games, which lead me to being curious about why others would play.

Personally I've only enjoyed playing league for a very, very few games, which usually involved messing around with like minded people. I started playing because my friends were playing, but I needed to catch up to them in levels. Then they quit and I was left constantly trudging through game after game towards some random goal I'd come up with.

So, why is it that yall play league?
