Old Q is the best way to make Lucian good without being oppressive * r/LucianMains

And I really like this game. And it makes me really sad that I feel like I just can't do anything on one of my favorite champs.

So I thought of some potential buffs. I wanted Lucian to be good early, but the oppressive Youmuu's Ghostblade one-combo you to death at 1100 gold Lucian is completely unfair. They've been outlined in a post I made in the Lucian Mains subreddit.

If anyone from Riot sees this, even considering this as a potential buff really means a lot to us.

If you don't want to read it: basically I think if you give Lucian's Q a range buff, but keep the current damage, thickness (so it's easier to dodge), mana cost, it'll be a way for Lucian to win lane without having undodgeable (oppressive) damage on his passive shots.

In several of my posts to defend Kog'Maw repeated nerfs I've suggested in buffing early game ADCs (Lucian, Draven, Jhin) to put the current problematic ADCs (Xayah, Tristana, Vayne, Kog'Maw) in their place. Buffing early game ADCs will solve both problems in botlane: the first problem being that late game ADCs are scaling too quickly, doing too much damage early. the second problem is that early game ADCs don't have access to earlier game items to pressure the late game ADCs from scaling. No pressure on late game ADCs = earlier scaling.

Now, with buffing Lucian people fear he may go midlane again and out perform most midlaners with his wave clear and mobility. I've been thinking about this for a while but why not make Lucian passive do more damage with a support around? This way he's encouraged to go botlane. Just an idea to help both sides
