My Thoughts on the 2015 5.8 New Ryze

Just a moment ago, I went toplane Ryze as per the meta as it once was, there was a ryze on the enemy team as well. I looked at Ryze's low initial spell costs and adequate ap ratios in both mana and ap, and decided:

"Ok, let's try Season 2 Ryze."

Archangels Roa Roa Frozen Heart Voidstaff (got tabis for annoying Darius)

Found that I didn't need Frozen Heart with his GENEROUS Cooldown Reduction from his ultimate (25%?! xD) So I bought another Roa and farmed my blue face off.

TEAMFIGHTS:

I literally mashed keys and got triples while taking little damage with my shield and healing pretty decently while shredding a lot of the MR the enemy built+void staff made even the tanks feel kind of squishy.

TL;DR

Season 2 RollfaceRyze has returned! And he brings SHIELDS!

actualy new ryze is kinda op currently, ofc i cant say sor sure but if we look at it objectively, ryze didnt change that much when it comes to counterplay, he has just one skillshot more

yet despite building fairly tanky he can outdamage glass cannon midlaners when it comes to burst

i played him some and saw him some, every time there was a ryze he won

but thats nothing a small number tuning cant fix, the rework is great and playing ryze feels way better than before (much came from the new visuals realy giving the feel of that power)

Yeah not sure why they gave him 33% MR shred on a basic ability.

Also, Muramana applies on each hit from your E. Just gonna leave that information to do with as you please.

Pretty damn close. Though, blue buff should be able to tide you over for the most part.

I had a Ryze get a 1v2 double kill, then almost secure another kill when 2 more enemies jumped on him. He was actually behind for the majority of the game, up until that point, so I would say he's a little bit crazy right now. Nerfs incoming patch 5.9.

Well here's the issue. Some people immediately assume hes OP when they dont know his weakness. I played ryze and demolished the tanks. Someone said..."ryze is back". Idk how old ryze was but this ryze has a moment of weak ess. Which is when arcane mastery it not at 5. I found out the even while i was fed that i couldnt kill as fast without full stacks, but when i had 5 stacks. . Oh boy i was easliy killing those caught in my root. And yea, I got i owned during weakness.

So what is the expected Ryze meta build? And, is item 3152 viable? I always loved that on him

As I suspected, Ryze was ridiculously overpowered pre 5.9, and now that I have played about 100+ games with him--even after the much needed nerf came out--I still say that he is still overpowered.

Ryze's e can reduce a target's magic resistance by 30%, coupled with item 3135 and his oh-so-specific timing windows no one (save a very strange few Mordekaiser Fiddlesticks Soraka ) stand a chance in a 1v1 scenario, or even a 3v1 if not enough cc is present.
