What is the point of being good at this game?

Honestly why does it even matter when most of the time it is just retard-roulette.

Just had a game as Morgana mid versus diana mid. First back I buy boots of mobility. I spam gank. Get 3 kills bot. Give our top two kills.

IT DOESN'T MATTER. Top still went 2/8. Got completely fucking destroyed. Bot did okayish. Our jungle was 100% irrelevant and suicided several times.

Why does skill even matter? How the fuck are you supposed to carry that? I out damaged the Diana mid. I out ganked the Diana mid. I out farmed the Diana mid. I beat her in every category in the game.

I won every single one 1 v1 I fought. I even beat people in a 2 v 1 once. It didn't matter. Every singel person on the enemy team was fed. I was the only person fed on my team. It just did not matter.

So why does skill matter? I out played all 9 people in that game and still lost.

I want to see it. I would like to see Faker go soraka mid and carry some of these people. Does anyone have a video of a decent player actually carrying these apes without going some flavor of the month blatantly overpowered shit like Talon?

To answer your thread title: apart from reaching Gold 5 for the victorious skin, there's really no point in it other than personal satisfaction. If you're young and can get some mileage out of going pro I suppose there's that, and if you're a streamer that relies on people watching you so that they can learn from you, then those are some reasons you might want to be high elo. This doesn't apply to most people though.

I've been bronze ever since I started ranked, and I've never even been to silver before. Doesn't bother me.

Depends on what your goal is. I got to gold for the skin, then wanted to go further to one day stream and maybe make money from it so I am currently trying to climb to diamond, right now plat 5, to stream and maybe make some money on the side.
