I think Annie's damage is to high

Relative to how much skill it takes to play her.

I think she needs some slight nerfs. She is one if the easier (easiest in my biased opinion) champs in the game, yet gets pretty famed high amounts of damage when she's all point and click.

I have nothing against point and click champs, but Annie has almost zero downsides besides mobility, and this isn't enough.

She also generally builds road, which is a strong item, and is much more durable then many other mages.

She has an easily accessible stun, and a companion who really hurts.

All I see from her is upsides and mass damage. I personally feel like its a bit TOO much damage co side ring how easy she is to play.

I was playing syndra vs annie, she built some magic resist and 0 AP. I build all AP, we fought at level 6 and she didn't even have her stun ready and she still beat me because her base damage...

I think she is exactly what a burst mage should be, low mobility, high burst. I dont see a reason to single out Annie vs every other burst mage with a stun. she certaintly isnt as op as some people make her out to be.

She's incredibly infuriating to play against and can feel somewhat unfair to say the least. However, I'll try to offer some viewpoints from the opposite side, I hope it helps.

  • Annie has absolutely no mobility. Any assassin or gapcloser champion can just instantly get in her face and murder her if her stun's not instantly there for the ready.
  • Annie's a mage and by that nature is essentially a full glass cannon, and thus any sort of CC or lockdown leading into damage will easily kill her.
  • Annie can permanently hold her stun but that means she has to hold out on abilities altogether until she decides to use it, and her waveclear is absolute ass without abilities.
  • Banshee's Veil is extremely helpful because of how her stun mechanism works. If she holds it on the fourth stun (so that the next ability will stun), she cannot use any other abilities. Thus, she cannot break the Veil shield. If she is holding it on the third, anyone who can instantly jump-delete her (assassins for instance) before she has time to get the fourth + stun up can usually kill her within that time, or alternatively, you could stay out of range and stick with your team to discourage her from trying. Learning her Q range, her ult cast and AoE damage range, and the range of Flash helps greatly.
  • MR is still very good against her, and unless she gets fed, something like Hexdrinker (for AD), Spectre's Cowl (in general), Negatron Cloak (alternative to MR as well), so on and so forth can make a good bit of difference.
  • Once she uses her ult-burst combo, she has literally nothing else really to kill with quickly (unless she's just ridiculously fed and her Q does like over a 1000 damage anyways), meaning if anyone can flank or otherwise avoid the ult-burst combo damage, she's suddenly very vulnerable, because there's only 1 bear and 5 people on the enemy team.

she has low mobility and low range. when you guys get to mid-late game where you're doing more team fights, try not to group up to avoid multi-person tibbers stuns. build item 3102 or item 3140 I also sometimes take summoner 1 depending on the rest of their comp
