Why are we changing the jungle so much?

Okay. If you want to change smite buffs thats fine. But plants will be more easily contested. by ranged champions. Then there also removing the small jungle monsters and changing the current ones. The gromp one is fine, the krugs one is cool, but I don't see a need for Red buff and Blue Buff to have their little guys removed. If Riot buffed Gromp Smite bonus and left the jungle alone I would be happy, but I dont see a need for all this change, plants alone is enough.

I'd just like some context as to why all these changes are being made.

I agree with you.

Remove the buffs sure that is an interesting change to the jungle.

Plants... why? I don't want random elements, i don't want things out of my control/unexpected/cannot plan for turning up in the jungle.

What I want is someway to force ranged champions to take damage... perhaps a return of the wraiths.

because its easier to change one thing in the jungle then change lanes that have been the same for 7 years

I think its another dumb and uninteresting mini game. It seems Riots go to thing is just adding a mini game when they want to change something.

I don't think the current state of the jungle is ok, its easily the top role in the game in terms of power. They need to make it so you have to sacrifice farm and levels if you want to gank but the gank fails. Right now you can just clear your jungle, go to a lane to gank, and steal a wave of creeps from your laner to be 3-4 levels above everyone.
