Normal is not ranked!
Hey guys I am here to write about a topic I have encountered in my last couple of matches.
I would like to start the topic reminding that Normal games are not ranked, and at the end you are only losing a game. It is okay if you want to win, we all do, but please respect your teammates.
So, couple of matches ago I decided to play Jayce in a normal game because I wanted to learn how to play with him. I had couple of matches but I was never good with him but I said "Let's give it a shot, maybe I will learn how to play with him." I payed couple of games, and all of my teammates in all of the matches started to curse or verbally harass me because I wasn't doing good. None of them made any helpful comments about, how I should play with Jayce like how I should build this item or go w/ this build, instead all of them said things like "you suck", "noob" and etc. Funnier part is that enemy top laner wrote "you should build this after this", trying to help me while my teammates were attacking at me. After that I found out that I am not good w/ him and so I decided not to play w/ him.
Another similar occasion happened today w/ another champ that I wanted to learn how to play w/ him for a long time. I read guides and all the stuff so I said "lets give it a shot in normal". I started to lose the lane and jungler and all the other lanes did similar responses like when I played Jayce. None of them respected me trying to learn how to play a champion, even though I reminded them that I had only a few games w/ that champion and am trying to learn it. One said go play w/ bots, which doesn't really help people to learn how to play w/ a champion. Some even mocked me because of my broken english, on which I only wrote larn instead of learn.
Long story short, two last times I decided to learn how to play a champion ended horribly and this will happen to many more people for many more times. I just wanted to remind everyone that to learn how to play a champion, you should play with him and not everyone is good with every champion at the beginning. That's not something to be ashamed of and no one should mock with someone if they are trying to learn something. We can't improve in anything if we don't practice it, and League is included in anything category too. If we only go for the the champions we know and never try to learn something new, we are not gonna improve in the game. And the truth is we all know that normals are the best place for someone to learn a champion. So please remember that normals are not ranked, and if someone is feeding without intention, just try to help them out instead of going ham on them. You might loose this game, but w/ helping someone learn a champ how to play, you can help your teammate win another match. Thanks for reading
P.S. It was teambuilder, everyone got the role they wanted to play, so I didn't "steal" someones spot and lost it while "they could have easily win it"
