@Riot: A problem with Zac's E and a suggestion to solve it.

Zac's Elastic Slingshot (his E ability) has a pretty long range at max range (1800 units). A problem I have with this is that if you are playing with a locked camera, Zac's slingshot at max range goes beyond the camera's range, reducing the distance you can really launch yourself.

I know there are champions where you have to play with an unlocked camera to use them effectively (Lux, Xerath, Ezreal, Jinx and Caitlyn's ults come to mind), and as someone that can only play with a locked camera, I don't mind this. However, as you can see, all the champions I mentioned utilize some sort of long-range projectile as their ults, meaning that with good aiming a player can snipe the enemy team while being at a relatively safe distance. Meanwhile, Zac uses himself as a projectile while using his E, flying to the heat of battle to fight the enemy champion or team. As a melee champion without any projectiles, Zac has to always be at close range to be effective. It really hurts Zac's engage, damage, and utility output if his E is misused because you have a fixed camera, and it put him in a great risk of dying to the enemy. You can't gank effectively, you can't chase enemies if they are barely within the slingshot's range and you can't engage in teamfights as fast as you wish you can, or you just missed them and increase the chance .

I am aware that I compared Zac's E to some champions' ults that have a significant longer cooldown, but there are occasions where his slingshot can only be used once and you have to make it count (reaching a low-health enemy before he/she reaches a turret, a decisive teamfight late in the game, etc

How to solve this? My idea would be for the camera to zoom out whether he activates his E so that it reaches its range in its entirely. The zoom out would simulate the camera being prepared to be thrown at a large slingshot so that the camera movement can fit better thematically to his E.

I though you have forgotten Zac in general, but as evidence with the 6.9 patch, I was wrong, so I wanna say thanks for still paying attention to him, Riot. He is not that very popular the game, but in my opinion, he is one of the funniest champions to play with. The only thing I want is for more people to play him, and I think my suggestion will make him more accessible to new players that prefer to play with a fixed camera.

Edit: I can't believe I forgot to add this:

Zac is one of my top 3 favorite champions to play due to his fun personality, up there with Lulu and Forecast Janna. So much fun.

I highly recommend switching off locked camera and adjusting to it that way. Hold down space bar to snap and hold the camera on your champion again if you wish. That said, I do not think your problem should be overlooked due to the existence of an unlocked camera. Everyone is free to prefer whatever camera mode they wish, and gameplay mechanics should take this into account.

Zoom out the camera during Zac's slingshot windup, Riot!

Side question: What the heck are they supposed to do with Caitlyn's ult to make its full range accessible to fixed-camera players? I'm stumped.
