I don't dodge any games, you just got to carry your games.

never dodge games before gold 2, even then I cba to dodge because that just results in me wasting time and not doing the thing I wanted to do. so yeah I just play whatever teams the game gives me in silver and bronze, should more often than not be good enough to carry whatever happens.

Well, I have 2 advice:

  • Regarding dodges: only dodge when the ally is actively trolling, doing stuff like Disco Nunu. That's the only reason to dodge, as just because your ally picks a champ they are bad with, it's Bronze, your opponent won't be playing like a Challenger, most of your opponents are from the same pool as your allies, so if your ally plays a champ they have no experience on, there's an almost guaranteed chance that at least 1 or 2, if not more, of your opponents will do the same.

That's something many people don't look at. They see their ally playing something new and automatically consider that the opponents will all play their main champions, which simply isn't true. Your opponents make the same mistakes as your allies, so you need to take your eyes off from your allies and look at your opponents.

  • Don't surrender: like seriously, don't give up, most games in lower elos are winnable simply by virtue of mistakes made by both teams. Your opponents also make mistakes, but you need to punish those mistakes, so if you want to do that, stop looking at the mistakes your allies make and look at your opponents.

I've had one of my ranked games from a couple days ago be a 4v5, our midlaner fed a few kills and rage quit. I kept getting hard camped by both their jungler and mid laner, so I was behind while my jungler was jerking off at the start. What I did was just play bait, keep the enemy team split so they can't get full team fights, and the enemy Syndra and Hecarim simply kept playing along. Our Sivir was fed, so they could totally win 3v3. Yea, I didn't got the best scores, I just played to my team's strengths.

Most people play 2 games in lower elos, there's League of Legends and Ego of Legends. Many keep playing it to not lose instead of playing to win. Sounds dumb, but there's a big difference, that difference being that, when you're playing "to not lose", you're not looking at how to win, you're looking at how to prevent your opponent from winning, and just that, there's no "what after?" or "what do I gain from that?", while when playing to win, yes, you also want to stop your opponent from winning, but then you ask "what after?", ok, you've stopped them from taking Baron and win, what after? How do you punish it? Or what you exchange for what you lost to what you can't stop? If you can't stop them from taking a tower, players playing to not lose will try to defend it because if they lose that tower, they are closer to winning so they need to stop them regardless if it's possible or not to stop it, but when playing to win, you see that it's not possible to stop them taking that tower, so you simply go and trade something for that tower, a dragon, herald, another tower, something to equalize the scales even a bit.

That's regarded to League of Legends, now let's talk about Ego of Legends.

We all know the player mentality of "this top laner told me that because I'm AFK farming the jungle as Lee Sin and I'm 0-0-0 while the enemy Zac is 2-0-10 at 10 minutes with double my farm, so you know? I'll start running it down mid, that guy needs to lose and learn to not insult me again ever again".

Well, that person can appear in both teams, but people never see that in the enemy team because they keep looking at your ally team. Try to calm your team down and turn the heat up in the enemy team. How do you that? Just be smart. How many times have you seen an enemy go "this top laner" or "report this jungler" or whatever, so what do you that? If you're a jungler, go pressure that guy complaining, if the jungler cries, go invade him, kill him. Make it so they keep punching that keyboard.

Pointless to dodge before plat (unless you got plat MMR)

Unless its something blatant trolling like disco nunu of course.

To those saying to carry. Sometimes there is literaly nothing u can do and the odds are stacked against you.

Personally dodge only games where I have players that are level 30 and have less than 50% winrate ... I rather take - 3 lp and -10 after 3 dodges than lose and tank my MMR ... so about 2-3 in 5-6 games ... I wish i dodge 4 more of them but still, I'm sitting on 61.3% winrate right now on 31 games at time of writing this and escaped from iron 1 to silver 3 and yes I had day were I dodged 5 in row and quite to play that day ( had 30 -40 % winrate teammates )

TreeDayBan1/20/2020, 12:55:02 AM1 votes

None. If you have to force good teammates to carry you every game, I hate to tell you but you are about capped out on your skill level, and dodging until you get carried because your team is 50%+ winners is just inflating your own elo. You think any gold+ players need to dodge games to get out of bronze? Or even Silver? Same for Plat/Diamond players getting out of gold.

You should be able to just smash those games. If you can't reliably do that, and especially if you have to dodge 4-5 times a day, well I hate to break it to you, but you are about capped out my friend.

JustA kleo1/20/2020, 10:27:25 AM1 votes

almost none. i only dodged when i felt our x laner has no chance vs the enemy x laner and the enemy x laner has a champ that will snowball so hardcore they will 1v5.

lets just say someone plays ashe into qiyana mid. in low elo if the qiyana doesnt lack half her brain, once she has item 3134 the ashe is history.

those are the type of games i dodge.

otherwise almost none.

BUT THEN AGAIN!!! my main way was to afk farm in jungle for 15-25min and end up being 3-4 levels higher than the enemys. if i do that now, im at best 1 level higher than the enemy so it doesnt work anymore. in the current meta i dont wanna play ranked cause i dont wanna drop from plat 3 down to silver LOL

I doge none. Every season I climb about 2 times to gold and start over. At this low elo dodging is usless.

Zyniya1/19/2020, 11:03:12 AM1 votes

I climbed out of Iron to Silver last season and am climbing nicely threw bronze started at B4 I'm at B1 now. I never dodge I win roughly 60% of the time meaning I'll always make back the LP from bad games. [sg-lux-2]

After your first dodge, dodges have the same penalty as a loss. If you're trying to climb, there is never a situation where it's more beneficial to dodge (after the first) than to play.
