Dark Harvest on Eve?

So this is just a quick question. I've been using Electrocute for every time that I've played her, experimenting with different champions to try to get a feel for the role of jungler, but I've noticed that there's a seemingly less common build on some sites that use Dark Harvest. Is harvest just not that strong, or is Electrocute's more simple method of attack just more popular? I've been curious about trying it out in a future build, but entirely unsure of how it fairs.

With the release of the new rune system Riot made some videos of potential build paths, one of which is dark harvest eve https://youtu.be/-sMwUTAj0LQ

Mmm, Dark Harvest is alright on Eve, but with her hit-and-run playstyle, it's a bit harder to utilize Dark Harvest to its full extent due to the fact that, as Eve, you shouldn't be wanting to trade blows with the enemy champion, as she is rather squishy and you are dependent on an essence dropping around you + needing to get into melee to proc it.

Electrocute is more reliable because it procs on abilities or AA, which gives Eve enough room space/leeway to spam Q for additional stacks in case the enemy champion decides to run away.

That said, DH is not terrible on her. If you are able to acquire lots of stacks, it outshines Electrocute in damage. A bit risky, as pre-6 Eve is easily ganked, so if the enemy jungler is onto you, it would make it rather difficult to acquire those stacks.

Both are viable.

Electrocute is more reliable early game since it has more damage and you don't necessarily need to have it available often since you are jungling. Late game the cooldown might be a hindrance if you are expecting to assassinate enemies one after another.

Dark harvest can be proc'd multiple times if you time your ganks during cannon waves. It scales into late game and works quite well with Eve's playstyle. It's easier to counter though and you have to actively collect souls for it to be relevant.
